ATTITUDES
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Today we are hard pressed on all sides to conform to a certain way of thought. For some that way of thought leads to a complete perfection of a physical life in Christ, and if for any reason that life has been interrupted by sin or failure to live according to the teachings of Christ they are no longer eligible to serve within the church in any capacity.
What this means is that they have taken the letter of the law making it the only productive means whereby someone can serve God...they discount the Spirit of that command given to recognize that in any way we have of living out the law of God is futile, and we must therefore rely upon the mercy of God's forgiveness before we can claim any or all relationships with the Father. There are a few who fall into the category of believer who has been within the church all lives...never having strayed from their faith in God. These people are very few in number today, and should be given a very high respect for their personal achievements, and yet they have still failed in some unforeseen way that I am sure God will someday point out to them. I believe mostly it will be in the attitude they have developed toward those who came into the church later , and with much brokenness.
There is an attitude that we must develop toward each other person we fellowship with in Christ that goes much deeper than the outside person we present to the world around us. We desperately need to be able to reach down into the soul that abide in one another to forgive them as we have been forgiven by Christ. That means we need to start once again in perfecting the spirit of God within each one of us. That kind of forgiveness means that we are responsible for forgiving and forgetting the past just as Christ has done for our sins. That forgetting means that we no longer have the right to drag up past sins in our memory against one another to use in a judgment against them.
The more we deal with the problem of ineffectiveness in our ability to forgive the ways God has forgiven us the more clearly we can see our own sin no matter if we have never been ravened by this world. All of us have fallen short in some way, and whether we have missed an opportunity to share Christ with someone who desperately has needed Him or we have committed murder, and have been forgiven by the Lord Jesus Christ we are all still in the same place as far as our forgiveness is concerned. Titus 1:15-16 "To the pure , all things are pure, but those who are corrupted;and do not believe nothing is pure. In fact both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for doing anything good" My question is Christians whom do you thing this is talking about? I can tell you that it does not apply to those outside of the church....may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
