NO ONE KNOWS
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
No one Knows when Christ will return, and only the Father has that knowledge.
As we look at Jesus words in Matthew 24: 4-51 He gives us a great account of what we can expect before He does come back to judge the world. The first thing that Jesus said was to "Watch out that no one deceives you". He told us that many will come in His name making claims about being the Christ, and He said that they will deceive many people ...even the elect of God.
This passage in Matthew 24 gives us a very good concept of what is embellished on in the book of Revelations, but without all of the bells and whistles. It tells us what will take place without the in depth descriptions of what things looked like from Johns point of view, and so I want to compare what we see directly from Jesus to us with what seems to confuse us so much about this book in Revelations.
To do that I want to take a step by step analysis of what Jesus has said to us by going through this scripture point by point. We know as an example that the bible was written to the Church and not to the world, and yet we have continued to turn this around to somehow make or feel that we are exempt from the constant warnings given. This first warning from Christ is to watch closely that we are not being deceived by those who say they are teachers of the word of God. That of course includes me and all of what I say to you. The important part of this is that most of us need to have someone they can trust in to tell the truth, and the best way I can be sure of doing that is to teach you nothing except for what Christ Himself taught. Today is an example of that because we are starting to take Christ's words point by point in this scripture and work our ways through the end times events. I am not a scholar on end times prophesy, and I don't think we need to go through all of that to understand what Jesus is saying here. Let's let this blog then be the beginning of our journey for this next week in this study of Matthew 24:. We all need to know what to be looking for without getting caught in the mess of details given in Revelations that are open to interpretation and mistake. As we prepare to take on the study of Revelations in the Gathering Ministries this coming year I want for us to have a heads up on what Christ has said about the times that I believe we are living in right now. It is time to get out your bible and follow along for yourself as God leads us through this scripture. In fact over this week end I would like for you to read through Matthew 24 and pray with me that the Holy Spirit would reveal to all of us the truth.
No one can know all things, and I do not believe that those who have put themselves up as scholars of prophesy know what is going to take place. It is a rush to think we might be able to understand much of what is taking place , and for those who love to put puzzles together it is probable fun. Let's know what God tells us and be untied in the Spirit of God by letting Him teach us...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
