GOD'S PLAN YOUR ANSWER
THE PLAN OF SALVATION has been a part of each one of our lives sense the day of our birth in this world. There seem to be some things that we take for granted so much that there is never a question asked about them...the Plan of Salvation is one of those things
We are taught to always read the fine print in any contract we make in life to make sure we know what we are getting into and yet for this particular step in our lives it seems we so rarely ask questions. Instead we try as best we can to look the part, and to live out as much of Christ as we can understand, but for the most part we are unsure and in many ways fearful of our part in a consecrated spiritual life.
What is it that makes us scream and run in terror at the thought of giving our lives in exchange for an eternal life with God in control? Are we really that selfish that we need complete control over everything we see? or is it that we have simply been fooled by the world around us into thinking that there is really any choice at all but God or sin? I am afraid that for the vast majority we have gone long enough by sticking our fingers in our ears when ever our personal responsibility in dealing with the plan of salvation is spoken of.
The real issue here is in our own productivity in this life once we say we believe and accept Jesus, and His plan of Salvation. Our part of this arrangement is to bare fruit...and if we refuse to do that for any reason we will simply be pruned away so that those around us can bare fruit. It really isn't a very difficult thing to grasp at all, and even though we don't want to admit we know the truth about our lives in relationship to that Plan ...we really do. My heart goes out to those who seem to be stuck in this phase of denial that is telling them they cannot know the truth..."it is simply too hard". God's plan will continue to roll on no matter if we get on board or not...in fact we are in the middle of seeing just how little we can change God's plan.
It is my prayer that we each one might wake up!...in a sense to the fact that we have a choice to make and an answer to give...ignorance is no excuse, and trying to pretend you heart has not heard God's voice during these times is only a conformation that you are willing to reject His Lordship over your life, and that my friends leads to death...a kind of death that is eternal and increasingly painful. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
