MATTHEW 24:26-30

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

We have been talking about the End Times now all this week, but it is important for you to know that Christ was very serious about this time frame and that we are found watching closely for His return.

Jesus once told us that we can see these things coming if we read the signs and watch for the signals this world is giving us.  In fact if we are careful we can avoid much being dumb of the real harm that the world of men is getting involved with.  I think it is interesting that God does not hide these things away from us , but He will present the truth always right out in the open for us to consider. It is the foolishness of men that causes us to ignore that truth.  We think we are smart enough to avoid any kind of trouble especially if we can see something coming.  The wisdom of men becomes the foolishness of God, and He will frustrate the intelligence of the greatest minds.  It seems like more than anything else we don't want to be thought of as being dumb, yet we end up with egg all over our face  every time we try to out smart God's plan.

We are not going to be able to avoid the distress of the days that are set to come upon us as far as the troubles of this world are concerned.  It looks to me like we are in for some very difficult times especially for the Christians.  Unless we stand together for Christ Jesus we will perish.

These things do not paint a very appealing picture for the immediate future, and yet for all of us there will come a time when we must face the decisions we have made about God in our everyday lives.  I don't just mean the weekly journeys we have made to fellowship and to church but the gut level obedience to Jesus Christ as the King of our lives.  That means that on a daily basis we must sacrifice our self desires to God's call for our obedience to His word.  That is the reason that we are getting it all wrong to think that Salvation is free at all...we are exchanging our life here for the promise of what God has made to us for an eternity of being with Him.  He died for us once; but we die for Him everyday for the rest of our lives...it is an exchange that I will gladly make for My Lord.  We have a way of creating a security net for ourselves through one another in this life by banding together as they did in the first church...it's funny how things come full circle in this life.  The things that we start with are the things we often end up with over a life time.  I want to speak to you more about the things that I feel God is calling us to do for and with one another to develop this security net I have been mentioning.  We will begin to deal with that subject some time next week. I want to finish up with our blogs on Matthew 24 this next week first.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
