WHEN I CAME TO YOU I CAME WEAK
Greetings in Jesus:
There have been many times when God has brought me to this computer feeling very weak and tired, and so when I read the words Paul used in 1 Cor 2:1-16 I have a good understanding of what he was feeling at the time.
There are many times when we will be called on to come to minister to someone when we are ourselves very weak. I have begun to realize that when God calls us when we are in that state we also are being ministered to by the Heavenly hosts that surround us all of the time. I always thought it was interesting that psychologists would tell people " If you are depressed get up off of the couch and go find someone to help" When we are called into action for the benefit of someone else the energy flow is different...we no longer are concentrating on our own problems, but trying to help someone else solve their situation.
That same thing is true when it comes to spiritual matters in our life. I believe God wants us to actively seek the spiritual answers we need for our lives, and that is mostly found by getting involved with the Spirit of God in ministry. It amazes me at how often when I just show up that God is willing to speak through me to someone in some way that I am not prepared for. So often we come to these meetings and worship services in weakness and brokenness having no idea as to what God wants from us other than our obedience.
God is faithful to always give us a message to someone who needs to hear it. His wisdom is among the mature in Christ, and not in the wisdom of this age. We can readily see that the rulers of this age are coming to nothing at all...but God's wisdom when spoken through even the weakest among us is the wisdom of eternity...it is a wisdom which for the most part has been hidden from the wisest among men, and has been given to the babes and the weakest among us. This wisdom is destined for glory and honor, and is set above the highest of places on this earth. I feel like each day my body grows just a little weaker, and my will to give all that I have for Christ strengthens just a little more. Although my book may be getting close to closing the message of my life will remain bright anad alive because it lives forever more. If you are feeling weak today allow God's Spirit to speak through you in ways that He never has before...do not fear to be bold in Jesus. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
