AT SOME POINT

At some point it is time to ask ourselves who we really are and what is is that we are made of on the inside?   These questions not only need to be asked but answered truthfully within us in order to find any kind of peace within us.

For me it feels very much like I have written the same things over and over again to you, and indeed I have. It reminds me of the story of the preacher who gave a very inspirational sermon his first Sunday morning he was in the pulpit of his new church...everyone was thrilled that he had brought a message so clear and good to the people, but he continued to preach the same sermon every week for over two months, and finally the church board called a meeting and asked him while the same message over and over again?  He simply responded " when you start to live that message I will start to preach a different one!"

It becomes very difficult when people tend to turn a deaf ear to the messages that God sends through anyone who is called to this type of ministry...but more so it takes an understanding that we need to continue to give the same message of the Gospel to those who find themselves stuck within this world of hate and sin.  The world around us teaches us ; or should I say conditions us through the vain repetition of the same messages to us that unless we are the best, or number one, or unless we think of ourselves as first before anyone else in life then we are some how losers.

Physically we all cannot be #1 in everything, and certainly not at the same time. The idea of placing ourselves first in all things simply means that we have to no longer care about others or their welfare.  If we do that we almost automatically turn toward the dark side of life.  The kind of pit that digs within our lives only goes downward, and there is no escape the deeper we go into it.  The pit that we dig becomes void of light and hope, and that is exactly where the enemy wants us...in the dark and without hope.  Dear friends it does not take a bible scholar to understand the simple message of God's Plan of Salvation, but it does take some of what we have been talking about this week in asking for God's help to see what we cannot see on our own.  It takes the courage to seek out some of these answers even though you already know you won't like the answer that you know is already there.
We have been made this way so that we can be changed from the creatures this world has made us to be into a creature that can be purified in our heart and mind.  I have not lied to you...it will not be easy, and contrary to what this world says it takes a real man to live a Christian life today.  What I want for you to know is that right now...this very moment you too can take care of this business of waiting to see which way the wind is blowing before making a decision.  This world is dying all around us as I write this, and I don't know how much more time we will have to get it right....at some point we need to get it right!  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
