RIGHT LIVING IN A WRONG SOCIETY
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
To the pure in mind and heart all things are pure, but to those who have been corrupted and do not believe nothing is pure; in fact both their minds and consciouses are corrupted. They claim to know God but by their very actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for doing anything good. That comes from Titus 1:13-16 and it speaks basically to the kinds of people we are dealing with in this world today. There is a feeling that nothing in today's world has any purity left, and I am afraid that is mostly true, but it does not mean that this world has won against the good that has been created within us.
It was God who put together absolute truth, and it is God who has sustained it throughout time. I believe that God has also created it to be a part of us as human beings too, and that the purity of that truth can be felt still within our hearts during the most difficult of times in our lives. Some people can see good all around them at all times while others can see nothing but evil. I believe that is because through our souls we are made to be filters of both good and evil. If we are in Christ we have a source that allows us to see the purity and the control that God really wheels with life. We can have a hope and a purity that this world cannot understand because of living in and being surrounded by evil. Those who have lost their hope and trust in truth have been colored by the hate to the point that they cannot see good even in the best parts of the life they live.
We all live in a life of choices to either fill our minds with evil or allow the truth of God's victory to understand that evil has already been defeated by God and all we have to do is to live as a Child of God in that victory. The answer to this problem is found in meditating on God's word given to us. The promises that He has made to those who would believe in Him is far beyond just written words on a page. They must be kept within the heart of those who would follow after Jesus, because He is our only hope in this world. A mind that is filled with Good's word and promise has very little room for what is evil to take root. Philippians 4:8
There are a great number of people who claim to know Jesus, but the only way we can really know if they do or not is through their actions, and their life styles. These things will quickly tell us at a glance what they really value, and if they have really ordered their lives around the Kingdom of Heaven. 1 John 2:4-6 tells us that our conduct speaks volumes about what we really believe, what we know about God, and what our faith has really been placed in with our life here. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
