BOOTS ON THE GROUND
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
With all of the talk about what we as a country should be doing with ISIS it occurs to me that we as Christians should be really taking action on our own to secure our faith instead of sitting and waiting for someone else to stand for us. The fact is that we do not have to take action against these things in the same ways as this world does, but we do have to take action none the less.
Our calling in all of this is to stand for Christ when all of this world is trying to reject Him as our Lord and King. The world does not have to accept Jesus...we do if we truly believe, and that is the testimony that God asks from us. I keep thinking about the scriptures and who they were really written to. The word of God is written to the church so that we might be able to demonstrate the truth of God's word to this world. We as Christians have been manipulated into thinking that the word of God was written to sinners {which is who we were before realizing the truth} saved by grace and love from God. We are the only ones who can understand and really implement the truth within the word God has given to us.
The strange truth of that is also we are the only ones who will accept that truth from each other as being real. God has asked us to show that love and truth to one another so that the world around us might get an idea of how that truth and love can transform the lives of those who so desperately need the love of God in their lives. All our witness needs to be is in showing God's love to one another in the same way He has shown us His love and that will translate into testimony to this world that Jesus Christ is real, and so is the word that God has given to us. As a believer in Christ there is no one else that can do that job except for me. We need to reenlist into God's army of children who are grown up enough to understand just as our country must understand that freedom and faith are not free. We as Christians need to have BOOTS ON THE GROUND in order to combat the effect of hate in this world. I am beginning to see people start to fight back hate with powerful doses of love through their picking up on and sharing their sentiments in postings on their face book pages, and in e-mails. It isn't much at first but it is a beginning...and I think it should grow to being sent not only to one another as encouragement, but to the people whom we need to influence as well in this country. It is time for the Christians of this country to stand and vote their mind and thoughts overwhelmingly in this world. Love trumps hate any day...grace and mercy are what this country and this world need. ROCK ...PAPER ...SCISSORS...GOD triumphs them all! May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
