I AM PERSUADED THAT HE IS ABLE
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
I have had the privilege to speak to many different people lately about the subject of their personal faith and growth in Christ. I find there are many people unsure about where they stand with God after all of the years they have spent just getting by through going to church, and going through the same weekly motions of worship. They seem to recognize the fact that God is not pleased with the luge warmness of their worship or their commitment to Him, but at the same time they seem afraid to take any particular stand to correct that problem.
I believe it is time for us as Christians who really do feel God's presence within our lives to step up and begin to encourage those around us who are going through this problem. We can do that simply by reminding them of where we have all been at one time or another in our lives because we have all been in that luge warm stage at some point in our life. The fact it we need to surround those among us who have grown somewhat weaker in the faith to lift them up as the scripture tells us to do. Our basic ministry is to the body of Christ if we are indeed a part of that body. The first thing we need to be concerned with is to strengthen that body so that we can all do the work of the ministry that God has called us to do.
There is much that we can individually do to help another person strengthen their faith in Christ through simple encouragement and support of them during times of doubt or fear. I can tell you there are a lot of people in Christ who are very fearful right now about all that has been going on in this world...and rightly so especially if they are weak in Christ. It becomes our task to help each other become stronger through supporting study and prayer groups in our churches. When we speak to one another speak in love and support of them by always lifting their spirits in Christ Jesus. Let's begin to remember the words found in Romans 12:1-21 about what we should be to one another , and in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 about what real love for one another should always be about...and then practice that love and that commitment to one another. It is time for this world to really see what the true God is all about. Let's lift up the creator of all things and glorify His name through the Praise of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! Each of you are in my prayers daily, and I ask that you be in prayer for me as well as we seek out God's richness together. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
