A WARNING TO THE LEADERSHIP OF THE CHURCH
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ:
Some of the things that Jesus said directly to the leadership of the church in that day is more true for us today than ever in history. The very last parable in Matthew 13: 51-52 is the householder. It really isn't so much a parable as it is a question to those who have been listening to Jesus speak at the time...and to us who read His words today; are you listening...do you understand?
Each one who teaches is held accountable for what he or she teaches...I don't think that many of those within the basic denominations understand that or they would be teaching differently than they are presently. When I speak openly to many of the ministers of various churches secretly they do not always agree with the doctrines that they publicly hold to and teach, but they have become employees of the denomination rather than ministers of the gospel because of financial and retirement issues. Once again this world has stepped in and found a way to control good men who would otherwise speak the truth through the Holy Spirit within them. This is a very dangerous place to be in when it comes to their own eternal security because many have been taught the truth, and they know in their own heart what God has told them to say.
This scripture tells us that all that we have taught will be brought to light of the light of truth on that day...nothing will be able to be hidden. We who have been called to teach the word will be held in great intensity in comparison to the real truth, and in many cases we will be judged upon the hypocrisy of what we have taught others. That is the reason that I stick so closely to the teachings of Jesus Christ my Lord. I know that many times the unwavering truth is not popular among men of this world, and even among those who come under my teachings who claim to be a child of God. Many of these people have already been fed a tainted gospel tradition or doctrine that perverts their heart against the truth. I believe this is much greater an issue today than any of us might think. It is the reason that I try to look at the gospel of Christ by cracking open the spirit of what Christ said within these parables for there are many who still sit amazed, and do not understand the truth within these simple parables of Jesus.
I do have a mission that I will continue to labor in until I am no more which is to awaken the Bride of Christ from her slumber. I have to say that this subject is one of the biggest areas we have to crack open within the church today in trying to get the leadership to tell the whole truth about the message that God sent Jesus to deliver to us. We no longer have the luxury of playing church by forming good ole boys clubs or seeker concepts that really do not teach the whole truth. When was the last time that you heard anyone give an invitation to come to Christ in a service? When was the last time that you felt the need to make a move spiritually? Most of this is because you have not been faced with the real truth; but it is time that we all begin to heed that warning as Church leadership to teach and concentrate on the words that Christ has given us directly from the Father. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
