HOW DO WE SHOW LOVE FOR GOD?
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
As the weeks go by it is getting more difficult for me to find new ways to express my love for God apart from being completely obedient to His commands. I believe with all of my heart that is what He wants from us more so than anything else because within that obedience is a form of His protection from the deceit and hatred of this world toward us just because we are created so close to God's heart and in His image. Its funny to me to realize that we are created in the image of God and yet because He is a Spirit we do not have any concept what He really looks like
With that in mind, we also need to realize how far off we actually are to being the church that Jesus had intended for us to be when we were established. While we have talked about the concept of love and being a family to one another for centuries now we have also proved to God as well as to our selves that we really have no understanding of what that means either. There are a few things that we must correct about our approach to being the church family that Jesus wanted. There are 4 of these I want to concentrate on this week: FOCUS, BALANCE, PRODUCTIVITY, AND FULFILLMENT. It is unfortunate that most of our churches today lack in several; and sometimes all of these qualities.

There is no doubt that no matter where we may find ourselves in life God can and will find us for whatever purpose He wants to use us for, but there are also many who have avoided any real contact with God in this life thinking that somehow makes them safe in some way. What hiding from God actually does is to make us become strangers to Him instead of friends, and most certainly not a family in His eyes. While God's love is all-encompassing it does not provide a way for God to do everything for us.
It will not seek after God for us or automatically ask for the forgiveness of our sins because God has extended His love to us. This quite frankly becomes a time when we must be the ones to make the effort to seek after God with our whole heart, mind soul, and strength. It becomes a time when we must FOCUS on God.
In a very serious way, much of what we have done to seek after God has done no more than to break His heart because the focus has never been really about His love for us, or about our gratitude for that love; the focus has remained much of the time on us like a bodybuilder or a model staring into the mirror as they pose for themselves. It has no genuine emotion attached to it other than the love of self. God sees that and I am sure it makes Him sick of heart for He knows all too well that He cannot allow that kind of love into the Kingdom. Our focus then cannot be on our own difficulties but upon our service to God if we are to correct this problem. I heard someone say the best cure for someone sitting on a couch at home in depression is to get up and go find someone else to help. In other words, take the focus off of yourself and place it on a positive goal. In our relationship to Christ, we must first decide to believe that He is the Son of God and that what He is saying is true to our lives. After that, it is time to take action not on changing the world around us, but by allowing God's Spirit to enact changes within us that will impact the world around us. It all starts with us, however, and our focus on the will of God in our life. What a different world it would be if Christians all over this world could be of the same mind and heart as Christ Jesus is with the Father. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.THE UNWORTHY SERVANT
