ARE YOU THE SEED OR THE SOIL?

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

STANDARD BELIEF tells us that the seed is God's word and that we are the soil in which the word is planted, and while that is a very true statement I can't help but wonder what God's intent of heart is toward us as we grow more in Christ and we begin to realize what it is that God has designed us for.?  The entire scripture is designed around the point that we should be bearing fruit for the Kingdom by presenting that word through the example of our own lives lived in that very word.  Have you ever heard the phrase " YOU  ARE THE ONLY BIBLE THAT MOST PEOPLE WILL EVER READ?"

It becomes an important fact that unless we actually live out the word of God as an example of what that word looks like to others many will never see any reason to be drawn to the book itself.  The true personality that draws others unto Christ is that of the Holy Spirit as He is at work in you; therefore we have to say that as we are transformed by the renewing of our minds we too become a part of the seed that is sown  as an example to those seeking after Christ that it is a worthwhile  venture to pursue.to become a Christian.

While it is never about us we are often the focus of others as they watch our lives and feel the various ways God is working in our lives. While we are not the actual word of God in any way we become to those around us the reflection of what that word looks like in the life of a believer in Christ.  It becomes that influence in the way that God's word has affected our lives that becomes the seed that is planted in others.  It's kind of funny how the closer we get to the word of God the more we become a reflection of its truth.

This becomes then to us another example of how the word becomes a part of us and actually is doing the job of transforming our lives to fit into the Kingdom of God.  I think in many ways we stop striving to change the person we are into a true adult child of God by denying that we should look and act more like our Father as we grow up.  I was thinking about the physical effects of growing older brings out many physical characteristics of our parents in use that we may not ever have been aware of before.  We develop features and personality traits that are much like our mothers and fathers so why should we not develop the features of our spiritual Father as we mature in Christ as well?

As we share our faith with others we often have a tendency to get hung up on small points like this without seeing the bigger picture of what God's intent is with us from the start; which is to get us through this life and back safely into His arms unharmed, but having experienced life.

Do not be deceived by the tricks of this world to take your attention off of the main focus that God has in His plan of Salvation because we have a very large role to play in it as well that we are often not even tuned into.  We all start out being the soil, but as time goes by we can turn into the seed that is planted in others because of the fruit, and the seeds that come out of the fruit we bear in His Spirit.  Let's grow up together ...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
