HAVING BALANCE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

As I make my way through this week I am made aware that many times the main reason that we cannot see God more clearly is that of what we have placed between us and Him.  It isn't just a matter of what we have focussed our life around, but also what we tend to use to hide behind.  It is almost as silly as a small child hiding behind a makeshift blanket so that no one can know that they are there. Some people have not yet understood that God can see through stuff in our lives...we can not hide from Him, but we can block our own vision to be able to see Him clearly.

It becomes a silly circumstance like an Ostridge sticking his head in the sand in hopes danger will not see him and will simply go away.  We all know how that never works in real life, and it certainly does not work when dealing with God.  There is a balance that needs to be kept between our belief and our action taken about the belief we hold in our hearts.  I read a story of someone not being able to enjoy sleeping outside on a campground because inside their tent at night they were constantly awakened by sounds they could not recognize.  Someone stole their tent and for the first time, they were exposed to the beauty of the stars overhead and the view all around them. It took away their anxiety of what could be and allowed them to deal with a realistic balance of what really was and they were able to relax and enjoy themselves again.

We need a balance between what reality is for us and what God is telling us we need to prepare for in this world.  In all truth, God has told us there is a mighty enemy out there that wants nothing more than to devour us, and yet we can never be prepared for such an enemy if we insist on staying in an infant mode all of our Christian lives.  We say " God will defend us" but where is the balance and loyalty to defend our own Kingdom by growing and becoming warriors ourselves?

God needs for us to grow up in Christ and become mature spiritually so that we can also defend the Kingdom.  While it is true that God does not need our help to do so it is true as well that He looks upon the intent of our heart in loyalty and commitment to the Kingdom and our loving defense of the Father.  I believe God is getting ready to force us to grow up or bear fruit on the vine, and if we do not there will be consequences to the lack of care we take to defend our faith in Christ,...I believe God is about to bring out the pruning shears to get rid of some dead branches; what do you think?   May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
