LET'S DEAL WITH SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR FAITH

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

We greet each other in the name of Jesus often, but for that greeting to really mean anything we must be in Jesus, and that is where the difficulty begins. It is that which begins to divide us against each other because we want to be in Jesus, but on our own terms, and I am rapidly finding out just how much that does not work.  The very first part of the problem with that is we cannot agree on a standard for what it means to be in Christ.  We all like the idea of being able to accept Jesus and ask forgiveness of sins.  We each know what the word of God tells us about belief and confession in that if we do this and say that we will all be forgiven, but it is the behavior and the intent of the heart that is developed after that (so-called) commitment has been made that actually starts to bring about change within our lives that begins to affect those around us.

IT IS THAT QUESTION  which needs to be addressed first if we are going to make any real progress in turning our lives over to God, or in dying to the natural desires of the flesh within us.  To begin with we know that we have made a covenant with God...which is a contract agreement of who it is we say we want to be, and a confession of who God already is.  If we start to look in God's word it won't be long before we start to see some clear answers given.  If we concede that God is the creator and Lord of all things we must also give some weight to His words to us in  the book of
John 3:16-17 " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent His Son into the world; not to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved"

That statement from God to us; if we read it carefully tells us the reason God sent Jesus to us in the first place  IT WAS LOVE, but that love had a very careful demand attached to it.  We were supposed to understand that love enough to accept it not only intellectually, but on an even deeper level that leads to  a grateful appreciation of what it means for God to love us so deeply as a creation that He is willing to send a part of Himself to die as a sacrifice for our sin and deceit.  The only catch to this otherwise free gift of love is to give God back who we are as His creation so that He might continue the process of getting us ready to be in His Kingdom with Him as His family.

You see the truth is that even though God has loved us so much from the very start after the rebellion of Lucifer being created with free will as well God cannot trust us because we are very much like Lucifer; and even more so since we now are in these physical bodies, and have this carnal nature.  Even though God wants nothing more than to hold us close He cannot afford to trust us until we are committed to Him, and that is based inside of our true love for God and for the understanding of what that love means to us.

He begins to tell us again how much He loves us and how far He is willing to go to show that love to us, but in return, He must be able to see what that love means to us as well. needs to know what quality of love and commitment we have for Him as well as accepting the kind of perfect love that He has offered to us.  The first thing that we need to realize is that God has offered that perfect love to us, but He has not forced that love upon us.  We still have to come to Him through Jesus Christ to receive it.  That means we have a lot of work to do as well in the Plan of Salvation that up until now we have mostly been ignoring.  I want to continue on from here with a few other questions that we whom are supposed to be the body of Christ may have been ignoring along the way.  May you richly bless God through  your life in Him.
