REDEFINING YOUR REALITY
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

Each one of us has a reality based upon the experiences that we have had. It is this experience that gives us the KNEE-JERK response many of us have to certain things in life. Many times our faith in Christ is also built around the experiences we have had, or in particular the things that we have been taught to be the most important in our relationship with Christ.
In a great many cases our view of Jesus is based upon those teachings. Most of us in this culture see Christ in the manner that He has always been portrayed to us in pictures or see as He has been portrayed in the literature of our churches. We see Him as tall and handsome with thick flowing hair and a very fit appearance. In truth, we really don't know at all what He looked like, but our image of Him in our mind tells us who He is automatically.
In the same way, we have been taught a brand of Christ's teachings within the denominational churches that skews our image of worship, fellowship and a relationship with God that tends to separate us into different groups of people all claiming the same thing but with conditions. It is almost like trying to wrap our faith up in a package that we each one can control and comfortably relate to without having to go out on an uncomfortable limb to live out. While it is not my intent to make you uncomfortable there must be a point where we are forced to realize that God's intent is that we are each transformed into the creation that He has intended for us to be before we enter into the Kingdom. That means for a lot of people there must be some great changes made that so far have been ignored.
John 16:13 "But when the Spirit of truth comes He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own, He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come."
For a very long time now we have been ignoring what the Holy Spirit has been saying to the churches by doing exactly the same things that the Scribes and Pharisees were doing in the time of Christ's ministry. We have been writing our own set of doctrines and laws to follow instead of following the simple truth that has already been given to us in the foundational teachings of the Gospel of Christ. In other words, we have been trying to redefine our reality by using the wisdom of men. We must realize that true reality is in God's hands and not ours. God has given us an opportunity for Salvation so that we can build a new reality with Him through accepting and clinging to His word. The truth is that the reality that we all have without Christ is very bleak indeed. God is going to see His plan of salvation through to the end in the very way that He has already told us it is coming. We can be a part of that plan of salvation or we can reject it, but we cannot stop it from happening. Either way, the truth is scheduled, and will indeed take place, and it does not depend on our belief of it just if we will be a part of its salvation or destruction. It is time to take the steps necessary to assure our faith in Christ has been made absolutely real for our lives. This might well be the last day's, weeks, and months to get serious about our spiritual health. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
