THE FLICKER OF HOPE

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

Quiet and still lays the darkness within our hearts and minds, for we are surrounded by it.  The reality of Hope is kindled only by the light of truth.  At first, it is nothing but the smallest of flickers, and it may come and go from us for a time without any change, but Hope lays in the light of truth, and it cannot be overwhelmed by darkness.

  We may need to adjust our eyes to the dimly lite corridors of our heart as we look for Hope today; we need that source of light to see our way. For most of us, it is not an easy journey as we stumble along the rough grounds of our heart as we search for real meaning in our life.  We see how this world folds its darkness around the death of a perfect man ask He hangs on a cross, and we see how hard the light is to find within us, and just when we can no longer see Hope; when the darkness is almost perfect Christ reminds us that all darkness really is consists of all of the colors of the spectrum is mixed together and that no matter how black it gets it only takes one small point of light to shatter it

  The true light brings with it, Hope.  It is not a Hope that becomes an escape from the darkness, but a Hope and a light overcome all darkness because it is a Hope that has never left us.  That Hope only becomes stronger as we step further into the light.  The higher we lift that light above our head the stronger the light gets, and the brighter Hope glows for those around us.  It will get so strong that our whole body will be filled with light.  There is a point where darkness will never again be able to hide from light, a place where there will no longer be fear or doubt...or death. It will all begin for us when we seek that flicker of Hope.  That Hope is found in only one place...Jesus Christ, my Lord, and Savior.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
