IT IS THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS...AND ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE...
GREETINGS IN JESUS:
Empty boxes may still be strung over the living and family rooms of the house. The gift giving is over and now comes the realization of the debt and payments to be made for what we have done!
The truth is always that we will have a buyers remorse when it comes to our relationship with this world. All of that hype about " you don't have to wait...you should have it all right now!" begins to have a sour ring to it much like the buzzing your head from a night out of control at a sorority house party. It makes one wonder where is that happy medium to life that allows us the freedom to be ourselves and yet also live in Christ and a citizen of the Kingdom?
Living a life in the center of God's will for your life is probably the most freedom I have ever felt after I made the decision to totally surrender to His Spirit. While the world around you is getting ready for that night out on the town of easing the reality of the debt incurred in its form of giving if we have loved as Christ loves we find ourselves debt free to this world, if for no other reason than we have died to its influences over us. This life is as empty to me as the box pictured above because my treasure is no longer found wrapped in a package that I will never see opened unto me. After all of the outside wrappings have been pulled away in this world there is nothing that I can take with me.
This time of the year is many times filled with remorse because we feel we have failed in some way, but God is telling us that the true empty box we are starring into is actually us waiting to be filled. After the wrappings have been taken away all we have is an opened box waiting to be filled with the greatest gift we can imagine...FREEDOM IN CHRIST. Don't let your heart go another day without that freedom from this world. It is time to seek being filled with God's Spirit and love; not just to the top, but overflowing into the world around you. That becomes your ministry. The more you love others the more love you have...it's amazing to me how we cannot out give God. Let your light so shine that all the world can see it. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
