LOVE OVERTURNS THE LAW
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
THIS IS A HOLY TIME of year for those who follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In Luke 6:27-36 Luke takes the time to shed a little more information on the words of Jesus in His message on the Mount. He gives us insight on the Beatitudes portion of the message.

In this Jesus tells us to love our enemies, and do good to those who persecute us. Bless those people who curse you, and pray for those who despitefully use you. Jesus has shown us from the very beginning that He came with the intention of dying for us.
God's intent from the beginning was toward giving us life, but what a steep price He had to pay to do that! We are called blessed who will open up our Spiritual ears to hear God's word to us on this day, and yet as close as we are to His heart at this time of year we are so drugged by this world that we cannot see clearly that we need to see the picture clearly painted around the feeding trough for cattle He was laid in on that special Birthday Morning of both life and death for the purpose of love for you and me.
This passage in Luke 6:27-36 is a declaration of love that we must pass on to the world around us if indeed we are to make any change in others around us. It starts with God and it ends with Christ in us making sometimes radical changes in who we have always thought of ourselves as having been. This new way of approaching life can only be achieved by the death of our selves to our own nature as physical creatures of this world. We too must be reborn if we are ever to see and hear God. In order for us to be with God, we have to allow our created spiritual selves to rule over our reality instead of our physical desires as creatures of this world. In short, we trade this reality for that of what God's word dictates. Our reality must change and our focus must be on what is to come through our faith in what Christ has done for us. This entire passage of scripture tells us that we have no home in this place because we are simply passing through this existence on our way to a new and more wonderful life in Christ. God paid the price for us to be able to seek after Him the way we were originally created to, but that truth turns everything that we understand and know as physical people on its head. Reality is almost exactly the opposite from what this world is telling us it is, and I praise God for those of us who are starting to get that truth in our minds! We have been blinded for so long now.
It is more important than anything that we could concentrate on right now that we understand this truth about God's intent of heart toward us. The love that He has shown us is so great; how could we not respond to it? Christ has promised us all the things that we could imagine and more in His love given, demonstrated, and delivered to us. It is a time of rejoicing and love for our Heavenly Father. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
