HAPPY NEW YEAR WORLD
This could be the year! I have been wondering now for a long time how long it would take for the events to come around that I have been seeing now in the last part of 2018, but now I am beginning to see the acceptance of attitudes in a huge part of our society that is turning toward evil.
The radical aspects of thinking are being turned toward the thoughts of self-preservation with a tremendous lack of trust in any outside social effort to control the nature of mankind to put himself before others, and ultimately before God.
Those of us who are in Christ are sitting by as we watch this deception of self-importance3e take place while we quote many half-truths that we have fed ourselves concerning our responsibility to provide some proof to God that we actually believe what we have confessed to believing. I believe that the proof of what I am speaking about is clearly seen in God's word, and yet we have rather delicately skirted the issue by the use of "Church" jargon that is easily used to give a noncommital answer to our need to show God proof of the intent of our heart when it comes to making our lives a living sacrifice daily when serving God.
There is a process that God has used in the past to prepare the church to be getting ready to receive great power in their duty to give witness and testimony to what God is doing and what He is going to do to fulfill His plan of Salvation for mankind. God has been keeping me awake at night over this, and I am compelled to deal with this issue as we begin this new year. I want to look into some of the most basic scriptures to find out the complete message that God has given us rather than the so often quoted versions that we hear. I am hoping that this will surprise some people, and perhaps shock others enough who have become complacent in their spiritual walk enough for them to change the ways they are approaching a life lived in Christ Jesus. I will give you a "heads up" in saying that I will begin with probably the most familiar of all verses that we use John 3:16 and then do a bit of digging to get all of the meat out of that verse that God has intended for us to receive.
Have a great celebration of the coming of 2019, but keep in mind there is a tremendous feeling of Spiritual change in the air for this new year. Let us prepare as best we can for what is coming our way. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
