COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING
Recently I have had repeated suggestions from the power of God's Holy Spirit that we have simply lost control of our sense of obligation to God when it comes to obedience to His word. One of the major factors is our understanding of words and terms used in God's word. We need to have a much better and more complete understanding of what God is saying to us in words that we can understand.
Some of my friends have begun to use the more interline translations of the word from its original Greek writings in the new testament to bring out these meanings much better. This helping me to understand the word more completely as well, and so I would like to take just a few of the scriptures I have been exposed to lately with the Greek definitions to show you the clarity it brings.
I want to take this week to look at some of these thoughts with you. @ Timothy 4:3-4 is such a scripture. " For a time will come when they will not endure (put up with) sound true, pure, uncorrupted ) doctrine (divine teachings from God) but wanting to have their ears tickled ( lustful for what is forbidden), they will accumulate for themselves teachers ( Masters) in accordance to their own desires;and will turn away (pervert) their ears, ( hearing) from the truth ( purity from error) and turn aside to myths ( fiction or fables that lead astray)"

We could control this tendency if we took the time to read the word more carefully, but even in some of the most simple things taught to us by Christ, there is a tendency to skip over a real meaning of what is being said because we don't want to be condemned by it. Let me just leave you today with this treatment of John 3:36 " He who believes (trusts) in the Son has Eternal life; but he who does not obey (unbelieving, disobedient) the Son will not see life ( Eternal everlasting) but the wrath ( punitive wrath; Divine punishment) of God abides ( remains; stays) on him." My friends this is telling me we have more to do than we have been doing to actively seek after God with all of our heart. We are in the Season of giving gifts, so can we give ourselves the gift of a more clearly understood word from God and a more obedient heart? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
