WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
What would you say if someone asked you what the most important thing was in your life? Anyone who may be reading this blog would probably say it is CHRIST...and yet is that really rue in a knee-jerk situation? We have seen people who were asked if they believed in Christ just before they were killed who said yes, but that is even different than living out a transformed life in Christ.
It is measurably difficult for us to give ourselves as a daily living sacrifice to God and keep that mindset going without first allowing the Holy Spirit within us to dictate our every move and response to the world around us. The concept of living out "For me to live is Christ and for me to die is gain" becomes impossible unless we can first die to self, and that is the issue for the majority of those who profess Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives today. We somehow must be real people to those around us and yet completely lead by God's Spirit as was Jesus Christ. It becomes one of the most dangerous and most difficult balancings acts that the human has ever attempted, and that is why most fail. I believe the reason is that we feel that we need to be involved in it some way. Our lives should now belong to God's Spirit within us to do and say what He wills through our life, and not the other way around. It is that difference that gets most Christians in trouble with their daily walk.
We continue to discuss the work of the Holy Spirit within us, but I needed to just take this side step for a moment to bring this thought to our attention There are a great many things that block us from allowing the Holy Spirit control of who God wants for us to develop into as His children. I would like for you to take the time right now to think about those things that may be coming between you and your total commitment to God.
I want for you to prayerfully consider the answers you give to " What would you say if someone asked you "What is the most important thing in your life?" because someone just did. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
