GOD GAVE US A LOVE GIFT

Greetings in Jesus:

Isn't it strange how no matter what we talk about for our own lives it comes back to the gift that God has given us out of love, and the decision we have to make about accepting it?  That truth is without that voluntary, and loving grace that God has given us who have accepted His love we could never have that new life. We cannot earn what has been offered, and we can never deserve it.  There is no intellectual social or moral effort that can gain it because it is a gift, and all we can do is either accept it or reject it.
We have these two choices which makes life itself very simple when we quite fighting the idea that we can and will never be the ones in control.  That simplicity answers many different questions about why we struggle so much in this world.  Our whole purpose was to be created to be loved.  That really is how simple all of this madness that we have created around us is. It becomes that simple yes or no situation about God's gift to you personally that we discuss this week.  The question I must ask you today is What did you do to inherit this gift from God?

The answer is found in Ephesians 2:8-9 and it begs for a personal question about our relationship to God to be dealt with 1 Peter 2:2 tells us that we should be called the sons, and daughters of God and that our desires should be to worship Him John 1:12.  The question for us as individuals is WHERE IS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD?  I am not asking what others think your relationship with God is; but I am asking you!  When we begin a born again relationship with God things should begin to change in your life, and if for some reason they are not changing then something is wrong inside of you.  There is no doubt there will be warfare and difficulty in a life that is lived with Christ as the center, but there is also a new power  that you need to tap into in your life.

Jesus told us to run to His arms like little children and to trust in Him the same way we do our earthly parents.  Today that is hard because more and more people are growing up without that surety in their life that comes from being able to have that parent-child relationship.  I had a parent child relationship that allowed me to think I was safe as a child, but even with that I realized that I was far from safe because they did not have a relationship with God.  If you have lived a life where you never had that feeling before then you can find it with God living inside of you.  There are a few things that we must do for that to happen for us completely, and most people are not being taught these things today in our churches.  I want to continue to go over some of these with you this week in Jesus name. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
