LETTING YOUR LIGHT SHINE
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
Many different times in our lives we hear about " Letting our light shine" to the world around us and yet, for the most part, we simply treat as a cute little Christian thing to say about witnessing that goes in one ear and out the other.
The truth is that Jesus was serious about the fact that to this world we should be seen as a strong light shining in a very dark place. In fact, we should shine so brightly that the light of truth that comes from us should not be able to be hidden. We are to be the light like that of a city lit brightly at night on the top of a hill so that all who look can see its light from a long distance.

The problem of course with that is we don't live in such a way as to let that light so shine. Today we are under the greatest pressure that we have ever felt to slip just a little from the desire to keep a stringent personal code of ethics regarding the truth we let shine. Some of us have a very good reason for not simply announcing our beliefs to those around us because it could mean a life/death situation. We are starting to see that in more places within this world than ever before as well, and since this blog is read by many who live around the world we may find ourselves in that situation.
The one thing that I do know is that we can still let our light shine to one another through the encouragement and love we share with those we can. If we just shine for God He has promised to use us to draw others to Himself. The Holy Spirit will do all of the heavy liftings for us in convicting hearts and bringing people to a commitment to Christ, all we really have to do is love them and shine!
I want to take this opportunity to say Hi to all of you who come here from across the ocean and from different countries. You are such a blessing to me to see those of you from Peru, India, Russia, and even the Philipines. Our numbers are getting stronger as the weeks and months pass by, and I want to thank you for your prayers for me as we continue our journey together. I pray that you have a great and very safe weekend in Christ. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
THE UNWORTHY SERVANT
