GOD IS A HUGGER
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
In a general way, we are all called on the allow God to embrace us in a hug. Some of us like the idea of being comforted in this way while others are afraid of it for one reason or the other.
I do know that for Jesus that concept of running into the arms of God was exactly what God had intended. He called for the little children to run to His arms, and then told His disciples to be toward God just as the little children,"FOR SUCH IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN".
The idea of "Hugging it out" has been with God from the beginning. Even the original idea of loving one another instead of fighting and killing one another through war was originally from God's heart we twisted it into "Make love, not war!" I have never seen anything that is more corrupt or twisted than the mind and heart of mankind. I think the innocents lost in our disobedience in the garden of Eden as a creation has allowed the enemy of God a terrible free reign over our hearts that we will never be able to escape. Today we allow our hearts and minds to become more perverted by the sinful attentions we play with; it is the same thing that ultimately drove God to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. The mind of mankind has not been opened up to the freedom we thought it would of having the knowledge of good and evil. The earthly concepts for justice has always been "an eye for and an eye and a tooth for a tooth" John 1:16 has changed that to "Grace for Grace" which is God's way of hugging it out!
If we are to ever find ourselves unified as a church it is time for us to understand the spiritual principle of Grace for Grace when it comes to individual quirks in our practices of faith in Christ. As long as we are following the teaching of Christ and not those of men we will be able to find a common ground. The rest of it needs to be worked and reasoned out with the teaching of Christ right in front of them. While Paul wrote the greatest majority of scriptures as letters to the newly established church throughout the then known world most of those scriptures dealt with individual problems in these churches, and not in the direct teaching from Jesus. Even though these were inspired by the Holy Spirit to give answers to the church through Paul they were not meant to replace the direct teaching of Christ. Today it is more important than ever for us to stay in the basic foundational teaching of Jesus concerning salvation. we can refer to the writings of Paul as good for instruction on dealing with certain issues that arise within the church community, but in order to be of the same mind and heart in the Holy Spirit, we must stay within the teaching of Jesus. That thought has never been more important than in this age. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
THE UNWORTHY SERVANT
