WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING YOUR LIFE ON?

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

In our discussions about bearing Spiritual fruit we follow Jesus in His thoughts on how our spiritual fruit fits into how we build our lives. In Matthew 7 : 21-29 is where Jesus gives us a very great warning about how we approach our service to God.  Jesus tells us straight out that not everyone who claims  Jesus as Lord will automatically be accepted into the Kingdom just because they gave lip service.

This teaching from Christ in His officially first sermon is very disturbing for most Christians because it takes them out of their desired comfort zone in serving God.  In the commentaries there was a very good analogy for this teaching that said " Some self proclaimed athletes will talk a great game, but that tells you nothing about athletic skills. Not everyone who talks about Heaven belongs to God's Kingdom. Jesus is more concerned about our walk than about our talk. He wants us to do right , not just say the right things. "

Jesus tells us that the house that we build upon the foundation that He has set for us will eventually show the true intent of our heart toward God.  If we are truthful about our relationship with God then we are bound to bear good fruit in every situation.  If in our heart we are tending to play games with God in the same way that may try to fool one another in this life by using people for their own benefit it will also be known by God through a test trial by fire to see what burns away and what remains solid and in place. It is really simple in the end...God wants the truth from our lives and from our actions toward both Him and one another.

To the Father the only pure love, and perfect love is that which we give to Him out of our free will; in fact when I think carefully about it our giving of love and loyalty out of our free will to do so is the only way that God can completely trust us.   There can be no artificially induced kind of love that can be perfected within us from an outside source.  It must come from us as a willing soul and be given to Him because we want to.  That is the only kind of love that can be perfected in the spiritual realm.

This is a very hard teaching for most people to understand.  This is the kind of message that most ministers will stay away from because it brings up too many questions. The answers to these questions can only be found through the process of each individual having a truthful relationship with God. That means that we must each one live out to the fullest ability we have the Gospel that Christ has given to us, and then be willing to grow and change as we are taught by God's Spirit and through the lives of others who are living out the Gospel in front of us.  YES! it means doing things the hard way! I means Mentoring each other in the word and living out the cause and purpose of Christ within us...there is no other way.  As you look over this scripture I want for you to take the time to really meditate upon what Jesus has said here.  Don't simply skip over it because you may not understand what is meant; but allow God's Spirit to teach you.  Dare to ask questions of others whom you trust in the Lord.  Write  a comment back here to me and I will take the time to try and help you I promise I will.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
