THE STUDY OF JESUS PERSONAL TEACHINGS
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
We become the light of this world and the salt of this earth in Jesus own words Matthew 5:14-16 and so I believe with all of my heart that God's first intention is for us as Christians to be shining examples of what His Kingdom will be made up of; the problem is in the ways we are letting God down through our self will .
Just as in the time of Jesus ministry we as people are constantly allowing our self will to get in the way of any change that God's Spirit is able make in our hearts and minds. I believe as well that unless we can some how get past thee idea of control within our lives we will never be able to see the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus said an awful lot about the fact that a part of His purpose in coming down to us was to not abolish the laws that God had set down through Moses, but to fulfill those laws through His appearance to us as our Messiah and Savior. Jesus not only fulfilled the laws that God had set down through the many prophecies given through the prophets, but He also set up a New Covenant with us that takes all of the wiggle room out of our writing amendments to get around the laws through establishing the New covenant that introduces our need to fulfill the Spirit of the law.
God knows first of all that through the ways of man alone the Spirit of the law ( which says that even if we think it it is as though we have done it) there is no hope other than God's mercy upon those who become convicted. The only way we can attain mercy is to come to Christ and ask for forgiveness. This becomes the only root to salvation for us, and yet still people will tend to try to treat God just as they do other men through lies and deceit. The problem with that is God reads the intent of our hearts in every communication that we have with Him; therefore it becomes impossible for us to lie to God without Him knowing it is a lie. We are no longer afforded the deceit that we have used on one another with God because He must know the truth from our hearts otherwise His demonstration of love and mercy through Christ does no good.
It becomes this very point that we so often miss and that most churches fail so often to teach; we must become transformed by the renewing of our mind and heart in Christ before we can be accepted is a true citizen of the Kingdom. One of the main signs that we are being transformed is in the Spiritual fruit we are bearing in our lives. This is a bi-product that we cannot hide in our lives when we have a relationship that is healthy in Christ Jesus. We cannot help but to be a light to the world because we can no longer hide that light that shine in us ( much like the city on the hill). We cannot help but to add seasoning and taste to a tasteless world around us when we are actively seeking after God. If we refuse by self will to subject ourselves to those changes we place our lives in danger of becoming a branch that bear no fruit for God and is therefore considered dead.
We have been warned about what happens in the process of pruning and trimming the vine to produce more and better fruit for the Kingdom in that the dead branches are cut away and thrown into the fire with all the other waste.. We must awaken my friends to the truth that God is not saving us for no other reason than that He loves us; God is saving us because we are profitable to Him, and to the Kingdom of Heaven if we bear fruit for Him. As we get into these teachings that are directly from Jesus I want for you to think about the very things that the church that you have attended has dwell ed upon over the last year...does this match up with what you have been hearing from the pulpit? Is this something that is new to you? What does the power of God's Spirit who lived within you discern about this? Let me know what you think. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
