continued: WHAT DID JESUS SAY?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
I want to make it clear from the last blog I wrote that Jesus was telling us that we need to fulfill our purpose in Christ, because if we do not we are not bearing Spiritual fruit of any kind for the Kingdom of Heaven. This begins to be a very important part of our Christian life; one which most of are missing in some way. It is our duty to shine and to give witness and testimony to what Christ has done to change us and make our lives so much more complete; not only personally, but for one another in our faith in Christ.
Matthew 5:14-16 opens the doors to our need to be a life changing force in this world for those around us, but we don't do this in the same ways this world thinks we should. In fact we should be demonstrating the love we have in Christ Jesus from the way we greet and treat our brothers and sisters around us in our everyday life. We become an example of life in Christ simply by the ways we treat one another first, and then we can extend that love to others as well. Jesus told us to love one another as we love ourselves. That by itself becomes a drawing card for others to ask what it iss we have within our lives that they don't have?
We don't all have to look just alike or be just alike to love one another as a witness to this world, but it does help for us to accept the differences in one another more so than this world accepts the difference we have with it.
Jesus did not come to abolish the law that God had given us from the beginning; He came to fulfill that law in Moses by becoming the Messiah for us. The laws and regulations we have today are just as bad as was the laws the Scribes and Pharisees were trying to make people adhere to during the ministry of Jesus.. We need to understand that these doctrines and creeds we are trying to come up with are silly to God , and not something that He is in the slightest way interested in from us. They are filled with our own desires and brands of faith that have nothing really to do with our salvation and everything to do with the division that we see among the churches of today. We find people today much more willing to follow the doctrines of a church creed than they are the teachings of Jesus Christ; and that is a very sad thing to me. This just one of the areas that is destroying our true witness in Christ. If everybody is right how can there ever be any wrong? Men would love to be able to control our faith enough to dictate what is right and wrong. It is said that in the end times people will try to make what is right wrong , and what is wrong right! That is happening right in front of our eyes today, and while we cannot stop it from going on we can become aware of the reasons for it and thus avoid being a part of it. As we continue to look at what Jesus had to say to us we will see many other areas where we need to become diligent in the way we look at these things. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
