WE ARE CALLED TO BE MUCH MORE THAN WE THINK

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus:

There are times when I stop to really consider all that has gone on in this country over my life time that my whole mind reels with disbelief.  In 67 years we have gone from a complete lack of technical ability to what we have today.  I can remember when the very first t.v. came out.  I remember whole neighborhoods of families gathered around to watch one small black and white image with lines of frequencies running through it, and being amazed at what we all saw on that screen.

We have gone from an age of innocence to an age where the deceit is so strong that our small grandchildren  have had to grow up by the age of 5 to 7 years old to the point where we were at at the age of 16 because they would not survive if they did not.

It makes me think of the scripture written by Paul in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 " For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.  The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ".  I am of the opinion that this is the only way that we as followers of Christ will be able to overcome this world in these end times.

I am convinced that the very elite among us in the faith will need to draw strength and power of among those who are the weakest in their faith at times, and that we shal discover the true worth of our lives and ministry through Christ as we see the fruit of the Spirit of God born among us.  It is  a time in history when we must not only continue to seek after God for ourselves, but it is a time when we must hold one another up in prayer on a daily basis.  We must strengthen one another through the love that we have been shown in Jesus Christ. We must build up the body with every ounce and fiber of our being to insue the strength of those who continue to lead us and put their lives on the line for our faith in Christ. If we do not have cause to love one another or be excited about our faith and direction as a church body we have nothing.  I call on each of you to take a new vow of love for one another in ways that perhaps you have never loved before.  Take that step out of your comfort zone and take risks to love and invest in God today...you will not be sorry you did.  My love and faith in you continues to grow my friends...I have seen God smile through your eyes, and I have heard His heart beat in your chest, so fear not for we live in Christ.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
