TEACHING THE TRUTH

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

Teaching the truth about our Spiritual lives is really as simple as staying completely within the teachings that Jesus first gave us in His very first message to us.  The components of what Jesus told us in Matthew 5:-8:  Is the truth from God's Spirit  to our condition.  In other words that truth is already simple enough for all of us to understand and to implement into our lives...the only thing left for us to do is to abide by what God has told us.

The truth that God has given us about our condition spiritually requires that we let go of what this world has told us, and realize that God is who He says He is.  The most simple of the truths that teaches us is that He is real to our lives, and that what He has told us and has done for us up until this point is very real to us.  Once we can get out of the mode of self will enough to see that truth it makes it so much easier for us to also see that the promises He has made to us are equally as true.

In most cases within our lives there has been a point where we have considered so many of this world's possibilities that the simple truth to believe in God has become muddied and unclear.  One of my many jobs in the church is to keep things as simple as I can for you so that you are not confused by this world.  Jesus made the statement once that the Kingdom of Heaven was so simple that even a small child could understand it, but it must also be approached with the same simple faith as a small child would have in it's parents.

We could easily say " That's fine but how do I go back to being that kind of innocent"?  The truth is found in coming back to the most simple form of relationship that you have with God.  No excuses...you have sinned, and need to be forgiven; then we start from there.  That is true with any of us no matter if we have accepted Jesus as Lord of our lives or not; because the first step is to recognize who we are in comparison to who God is.  You see this world never wants that to really happen because it destroys self within us to do that.  We must humble ourselves before God when we do that assessment.  Our worth and our will as compared to God is nothing.  Add on top of that all that God has already done to show His love for you, and we have no where to go but upon our knees.

I remember that in the military before anyone could really be trained to survive what they were going into they first had to be torn down to the point that they all but lost their own identity. After that destruction of what we have been taught all of our lives that we were as people, including all of the rights we thought we had, and the fact that we had been taught that we owned who we were as people then we could be taught.  We could be rebuilt in effect into soldiers who would have both respect for the world around us and respect for one another enough that if the time came to give all that we had we might have the tools to do so.  The truth about our relationship with God is found in allowing God to tear us down...allowing our lives to be compared to His eternity, and in seeing what our purpose really is in being here.  I am afraid that not many people in this age can accept God on on the terms that are necessary to have that kind of relationship with Him.  That saddens me greatly.

The reality of people rejecting God's love because of self is so great today that it makes me wonder ( as Jesus did) how much real faith will be left when He returns?  Jesus spoke of faith , hope and love...I hope you also noticed that most of these things will pass away, but the last and remaining thing is love.  There is so much that is in my heart that I cannot get it all out, but know this; God's continued plan toward the Judgment day will continue on, and whatever must happen in this world will happen no matter how much we pray for it not to.  Christ is coming...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
