PREPARING FOR GROWTH
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
When we start to prepare for anything we do we should first stop...and think about what we are doing instead of rushing head long into it. That is particularly true when it comes to anything we do Spiritually. Scripture tells us to stop and count the cost of anything we do before we start it so that we know what the risks are to us. Jesus used examples on several occasions of builders who were not prepared to take on projects, or who did not think wisely about where and how to build before they started.
The starting point of anything that is worth your time in Christ must be in prayer; but prayer must be acceptable to God just as any other kind of sacrifice that you give God of yourself. We want God to not only accept our prayers but we want Him to hear attentively and favorably. There are four areas in our prayer life that we need to touch on as we prepare to be used of God in a ministry. 1. Pray with Faith Hebrews 11:6.
2. pray with clean hands, and a pure heart Psalms 24:3-4. 3.Pray genuinely heartfelt prayers rather than vain repetitions Matthew 6:7. 4. Make sure you are praying to the God that is revealed in the scriptures Exodus 20:3-6.
My friends these are scriptural sound ways to begin the process of any kind of growth; whether it be an individuals personal growth in Christ of the growth of any ministry that we are involved with. There is also a fifth area that we need to consider , and that is to act then one what God is telling us in our heart to do. This means usually that the vision that God has given us in a work will only be held ope to us for a period of time and then the door will then close...and perhaps it will never again be opened to us.
In this area we have had a vision shown to us for over three years now, but to those who have been given this vision there has been no real action taken to secure the vision given other than the very basic steps. In 2014 I would like to see that change, and for the people who have been called together by the Holy Spirit to take a stand together.
We as the body of Christ; and I need to be clear about who the body of Christ is in this area: Those whom God has touched personally who are sick and tired of waiting for someone to begin to unite the people of God from every faith group and walk of life who believe sincerely that God intends for the Church to have the power in this world that it once did. It is time for those who have been living for Christ Jesus to take a stand together not as a new church body, but as a ministry that is simply dedicated to bringing real Christians together so they can fellowship, worship, teach meet and discuss openly the ministry and the teaching of Jesus Christ on any of today's topics.
I believe it is time for all of us to come together in what we have claimed we believe...that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He has been sent to deliver the "Good News" of the Father to mankind that He has made a way for our salvation through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ alone. I believe that for the first time we need a ministry that is built upon the teachings of Jesus alone instead of the doctrines of men...no matter how good they may be. We need a place to grow Christians no matter what their Church affiliation or memberships are on a daily basis...not just once a week but everyday of the week . We need a place where there is food , fellowship, counseling, study, and reasoning through the power of the Holy Spirit. We need a place where all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are allowed to be felt and shared, but also a place where they can be studied correctly and understood; not miss used. Because of that Spiritual need of ministry I am issuing a challenge to any of you who have ministries, or are from local ministries in this area to consider what it would be like for God's people to unite in a bond of love through nothing and no one but Jesus Christ In a week day every night effort to teach and grow the body of Christ like we have never seen it before. We will continue on with this vision in the next blog...won't you join me? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
