PUNCHING SATAN IN THE MOUTH
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
I am happy to report that the enemy of God has been concentrating so hard of beating me up lately that I think he is getting a little winded. I think more prayer is in order so that we can divide and conquer his forces in this world; showing the true power and complete rule of God!
Perhaps it is this kind of attitude that we need to start to have toward this life and the things of this world as well. We will not begin to see victory in Christ until we stop worrying about our own survival. The general attitude that must be adopted in our lives is that of coming together in the kind of unity that declares when one of us is attacked then we are all attacked! I remember hearing long ago that couples can withstand anything as long as they do not allow the world to come between them. The divide and conquer rule is still in effect for any kind of warfare within this world. As long as we do battle with the rules that this world lays down before us we are at a distinct disadvantage.
Paul said that we do not do battle with physical weapons like those of this world, but with spiritual weapons which are based in heavenly principalities and places...this means that everything we deal with is in some way spiritual. Unless we defend ourselves with spiritual weapons we are defenseless against the enemy of God. We were shown by Christ in His ministry how to deal with the enemy of God and what those weapons were to look like which had the greatest impact upon the enemy. I believe we are starting to deal more with the right kind of weapon when we begin to choose things like PRAYER.
We have all heard the stories of how God delights in taking victory out of the hands of the enemy at the last second....it becomes devastating to him. When the enemy is rattled by prayer he begins to make eternal mistakes because just as much as we get rattled by our emotions so does he. You see like us he is not perfected emotionally as God is, and that is his great downfall. Yes he does have great power; but he does not know how to control it or use it perfectly. Our advantage then is in coming to the Father for the right answers to the problems that the enemy creates. It is through the power of the Holy Spirit that we are given the mercy and grace to deal with not only our own faults through forgiveness, but in dealing with the enemies attacks because of his imperfections. There is no doubt that the enemy is powerful, and smart, but he is also very much ruled by his emotions, and that causes him to do things that are governed by how he feels and not the truth. Tell me ...do you know anyone who is like that? Because of that fact the enemy is very predictable and in many ways easily manipulated.
God has given us the ability to out think the enemy by using our faith and standing upon the truth even in the face of what may look like impossible odds. As we grow and are trained by the Spirit of God to keep our eyes upon the face of God at all times we will learn through obedience in Christ exactly what we need to do when confronted with the various attacks of this world. We must first learn that prayer ...constant contact with the Father is the way to sucker punch Satan. We never have to respond to the emotions put before us but we can defuse all things through the perfection of the Spirit as He speak through us. The enemy will never have that clever come back, or the way to ever cover the complete truth.
Jesus directed the disciples to not worry over what they would say when they were brought before courts or judges, because they would not be the ones answering the charges...God would through the power of His Spirit within them. I don't know about you but that thought is very comforting to me in this world. It makes me a lot less afraid to get into a fight with the enemy when I know that standing right with me is the one who knows all the ways to defeat Satan. We are getting ready for a good fight with the enemy right now in some of the things we have been proposing to do....I am ready...are you? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
