THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DETAIL
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Of all of the things, I can remember from my childhood I can remember the change that took place when we traded craftsmanship for production in this country. I remember how confusing the time was when we were no longer instructed to learn the craft and the workmanship necessary to make something that not only looked good but which was also stable, strong, and sturdy to last over time as an heirloom for generations of use.
I can note from those days that there was a change in the mindset toward those things that were becoming important to society in general. Up until that time, the various kinds of work that was done very often had the signature of the craftsman on it somewhere as a matter of personal pride. It was a statement the " I had made this" feeling of pride in their workmanship by letting everyone know it was their work that was the most important. It seemed to be what drove the work and the quality of a product, and even though the turn around from an order made to the time the [product was finished was longer it also seemed as though people would wait longer because it meant more time was being spent in getting the product out properly. We find that mindset has changed dramatically over the last fifty years as we have gotten into the fast food craze of instant gratification. It seems as though the instant concept has only gotten worse with the advent of the computer. The point I am trying to make here is that we have changed our way of perceiving value to the point of no longer putting value in taking any time at all to learn or experience what real truth is to our lives.
As our creator, God is very detailed in every way to what our individual needs are in dealing with Spiritual growth and relationship, and because of that God has crafted a way for us to take the time necessary to learn and grow from and with one another. It is in fact, one of the main reasons for the creation of the church. We should be able to treat and relate to one another as a family of people whose primary purpose is to help one another study, pray and grow in the foundational principals of our faith in Christ. It is this principle of love and trust that the family of God is built upon and in which we can safely grow as children of God. This contract has clauses just as any other adoption process does that simply states that we must hold up our part of the agreement as well. God will fulfill each and every jot and title between He and us, and He will also require us to do the same.
The details are very simply that we believe in what God tells us and that we obey what He has asked of us in exchange for His help, peace of mind and soul; and for our salvation from sin to live for all eternity with Him in His glorious Kingdom. You will not find any hidden agendas or secret fine print found in our contract with God, but I can tell you to be careful what you pray for because God may decide to grant it and have to prepare your life to receive it! May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
