THE CONCLUSIONS OF SPIRITUAL FAST FOOD #5
Greetings in Jesus:
While it seems like we have had an endless discussion this week about getting a good diest of Spiritual food there will always need to be reminded that whatever we hear about truth being revealed in any way needs to be compared to the truth that we already have in God's word. Truth never changes; it is the same as God. It is we who do all of the changing, and that becomes apparent when we look at our own lifetime of changes made in our beliefs and in the knowledge we have acquired over that lifetime.
One final area of discussion with the idea of this fast food thing is the idea of what I will call "A new age of distraction" that seems to be floating around within our social culture right now. I want to begin by saying this concept of New Age is not in any way NEW at all. In fact Ecclesiastes 1:10 tells us there is really nothing that is new at all. In fact, the concept of new age is found in Genesis 3:5 and is built around the idea of wanting to be like God or to replace God with self. It deals with human exaltation Genesis 11:4. Most people do not understand that this concept of man becoming Godlike was first delivered to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and has been pushed into our daily way of life ever since. I am only beginning to uncover the truth about this that has been hidden from the general public for centuries by those who have sought to become like God's themselves through various methods of manipulation. One of the greatest manipulations has been the distortion of truth based either on adding to or detracting from the truth that has already been delivered to us by God through Jesus Christ.
I need to make a statement here again; I have said this in the past in my writings, that before we can have any solid grounds as people about any subject we, first of all, have to establish what the truth really is to us. I base every truth on God's word because it is God's word that has always proven to be truthful to my life. Let me assure you that I have not always taken God's word as the only truth and I have tested God's word against many things that I may have wanted to believe were true before only to find that they each had an element of a lie in them and that God's word always spoke the truth. I can honestly say that I have never found a lie in my life in following God's word, and so I can say that I choose to believe it is the only real truth to use in comparison with anything I find in this life. This is also one of the main reasons for my discussions on these topics with you. I have repeatedly seen the damage that has been done to the lives of people who so much desire salvation through this truth being sidetracked by a few who are spinning half truth concepts by either adding to or deleting from the real truth. The Good News is in John 3:16 and was delivered to us through the ministry of Jesus. The details are shown in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ in His three-year ministry, and the foundations He laid down for us to follow.
Everything hinges upon our belief in that truth, and just how far Jesus went to help us believe in the message that He was sent to deliver. I pray that some of these thoughts have helped you to find a better diet spiritually than you may have been using for growth in Christ. We will pick up on the subject of "Is the New World Order really new? or is it simply a distraction from God's truth? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
