FAST FOOD FRANCHISES #3
The Prosperity Gospel is usually most prosperous to the one who is preaching it, and the reasons are because those who are hearing it are encouraged by its message. Among the most desired things for man has been the idea that some way we can control our eternal destiny by what we are willing to do and say to others. This simply becomes yet another way for us to try to manipulate that which God has already set in motion, or perhaps change the course of that plan by our own influence.
There are many different Fast spiritual Food franchises in today's world that are proclaiming that if we invest time and (in particular) money into the advancement of their particular message that "God wants them to have it all" as long as they keep up their support of a ministry effort. This is still one of the biggest hustles that men have ever developed to counterfeit the Gospel of Christ with. It usually affects those who are in the greatest need among us for truth, and at the same time tends to destroy the Christian faith when the false prophet is discovered. It is unfortunate that these different Fast Food drive-ups are on the increase as people are flocking to have their ears tickled by half-truths concerning God's love and favor to them.
We stand at a crossroads on any given Sunday when we look around us in our churches to see those we worship with but are unwilling to get personally involved with in seeking a closer relationship both to understand our purpose in Christ and to have a closer relationship with. While we have been created to be a family who is commanded out of love3 to be one with one another as we should be one with Christ we are missing the call for ministry every time we fail to get involved.
It really isn't all that hard to see the solution comes in our personal investment in someone else in the church we attend. That means we must find a desire first within our hearts to change whatever is inside of us that is stopping us from fulfilling our part in Christ to witness and love, and then take steps to find someone around us who we need to know better, and which may lead to mentoring and being a part of our lives. None of us can change the past in our lives, and for many of us it is impossible for us to correct past mistakes, but we can begin a new mindset that allows us to be fully involved in our faith, and in the basic truth of who we were created to be in Christ. As we look at this more closely we can see that the ball is once again in our court on what we should do next.
The quality of the Gospel of Christ given to us is our responsibility to maintain no matter how many others are preaching a fast food diet. It is time for us to restore that basic truth in our lives through our own personal commitment to the foundations of God's word to us. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
