REMODELING YOUR LIFE /THE REVEAL# 6

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

I have often wondered what a life should look like after it has been given over to Christ completely and what; if anything we should be able to see in that life that is different from it was before?  There should be plenty of examples of what we should be able to look for in a remodeled life.  There is always the pattern of Christ's own life that we should be able to see.  Some people may be able to be seen as changed right away while others may take some time, but there should always be able to be seen changes that indicate a renewal within the core of a person who has really been touched by God.

For some of us the idea of calling a judgment on another person does not seen to be something  that Christ would do until we realize that during Christ's first missionary trip among us He was not here to judge us according to the law, but He was here to proclaim the Good News of the Father, and to promote  belief in the New Covenant that He had brought with Him that fulfilled all of the law for the Messiah.  Christ did make some judgment calls based upon not the letter of the law, but upon the spirit of the law.  Some of those things were judgments of forgiveness, and others were judgments of condemnation.  I personally believe that we are called to make careful judgments every day about our faith; about right and wrong, and about the things around us we see around us that others are trying to convince us are from God...that may or may not be from God at all.

There certain things that are always revealed about people who make certain claims that they have a word from God that we should pay attention to.  1 How true are they to their own word?  I don't like to make promises to someone that I have no intention of keeping.  I don't like to be put into a position of hurting someone's feelings and yet when it comes to hearing someone speak about something that tends to divide us from fellowship with one another I will very likely speak up to defend unity in Christ.  2. How much change is their general attitude and approach to God and other people?  I have become more like the attitude that God might have to someone when they make claims as to have turned over a new leaf in life.  Words become very cheap imitations of actions taken.  I think that is why I have such a difficult time when someone tells me about their deep belief in a doctrine or a teaching from another man as being the gospel, and I hear that all of the time.  In particular, I hear that from those who follow the end times prophecies claiming this or that is being revealed to someone after prayer or a great amount of study that no one else seems to have picked up on.  It is human nature for us to want to know what is coming, and so I believe that those among us to are prone to being lead by the teachings of a man who seems to have the knowledge and information from scripture becomes a likely source for people to follow.  I don't think it is that we should not follow or study the teachings of others, but rather that we should always check those teachings against the direct word that Christ have given us, and if there are changes then to always follow after Christ.

Like it or not we will continue to reveal real-life changes within us for the judgment of those around us because we cannot hide the change in the base character of who we are for very long.       Even the subtle changes within us that are changed by God will be revealed to this world, and we can be sure that the sin within this world will respond in kind.  The word tells us from Christ that there is absolutely nothing that is hidden which will not be revealed at some point.
It is time for all of us to allow God to reveal the person that He has created us to be, but it is going to take strength and practice of that newly created creature inside of us to be revealed to this world...are you ready for that?  You are all in my prayers each and every day; may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
