REMODELING YOUR LIFE/ USING THE RIGHT FLOOR PLAN # 5

Greetings in Jesus:

We have been using the concept of remodeling to create a pattern for rebuilding a life in Christ that we can then use to effectively grow and give witness to Christ as He changes us through the Holy Spirit.  The idea of choosing the right materials to build with is important because we want what we build with to withstand the trials and the tests that will no doubt come over time.  God will Himself test the quality of these materials because, in the final analysis, it will not be God who makes the choice of those things we use, but us.

The important thing is that we know who to use as a council in putting our choices together about how we go about our lives.  It really does not matter if what we do is perfect or even if it is all the same, but it does have a lot to do with the relationships we build with God through Jesus Christ.  We can worship or praise God with many different forms of music or worship and still maintain a close relationship with the Father through Christ, but the catch is that it has to be done through Jesus Christ and not from our own mind and heart.  We must maintain our love friendship and our commitment to the foundations that Jesus has laid down for us.  "If you are my friends, you will obey my commandments".  Jesus has been very clear about that.

As we make choices in life as to what we use to build our lives around we must always remember to put these foundations from Christ at the very center of what we build upon. Each decision and each piece of who we are can be found connected to the relationship we have in Christ, and if we dare to allow God's Holy Spirit to be a part of the placement of each piece we put into place we will never again have to worry about division in our fellowship with one another.  It does not matter how strong our opinions are in one area or another in regard to doctrinal differences; if we refuse to stray away from the basic foundations of what Christ first taught us we will always be united and bonded in love.

The directions we take in developing our relationship with Christ can be as unique as we are to one another, and yet just as solid as the eternal bond of love we have for Christ.  Somehow I don't think that we were meant to agree on every phase of worship or one every type of praise that exists for our use in sharing adoration for God, I do feel more strongly than ever for our need to concentrate on the things that have been given to us that will never change...those are the foundations of what Christ has told us about the Good News brought through the power of God's Spirit and the ministry of Jesus Himself.  That is the reason that I have chosen to stick so closely to the teachings of Christ alone rather than to accept the additional doctrines brought about by men who intend fully to worship God and yet who are also intent in being separate from one another.  My God is not divided against Himself in any way, therefore, I cannot follow any doctrine which divides one against another in worship, praise or general doctrine no matter if they claim to be in Christ or not.  In these cases, it becomes the actions they ultimately take to create peace among themselves and others to fellowship and worship together in spite of personal doctrine that causes me to accept or reject them.  We cannot continue to build upon anything except for the single solid rock of truth that is provided by Christ.  I look at many of these doctrines today to be perhaps an over-hang from that rock, but perhaps not built solidly on the rock.  For those of you who follow these blogs; let me know your feelings on this so that we might mend the gaps between Christians in our community.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
