HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THE WITNESS OF SIMPLE THINGS AROUND YOU ?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
In my personal quest to find more of God that I can relate to with those around me, I have spent a great deal of time thinking about some of the things we take for granted around us every day.
In my personal quest to find more of God that I can relate to with those around me, I have spent a great deal of time thinking about some of the things we take for granted around us every day.
Among those things are TREES. Have you ever really considered the representation that God has given trees to our lives? We walk under their branches daily but never really notice how God has made them represent the many ways we hold our relationships together. We are bound together in many of the same ways. The family is, of course, the biggest likeness we have to a tree with its many branches and root systems that hold our relationships in place, but for me, they also represent the rings of growth and time we have spent life and all that we have that is dear to us. God uses the creation all around us to speak His truth to us, not just by a tree, but also the life that tree harbors within it. the life it gives other things of equal importance to us as well as the life that we never think about that is within that tree that we never see, but in some way sustains a whole system of life within it. The birds, squirrels, and all that they need to sustain them are found there as well.
The natural, complex, beautiful simplicity of trees is much like our own lives in the ways in harbors so much more than we can see on the surface. The real point I want to make is that we can communicate with our creator so much better if we can allow Him to speak to us through His creation that is all around us every day. God shows not only His glory in this way so that we might believe, but He uses these things to actually speak to us during the day as we walk through life. In many different ways, God has given us ways to stay in touch with Him. It isn't hard to begin to see that connection between us and God when we open up to that possibility in our daily lives.
The very experiences that we have during the day as we walk through our life can be used to speak to and listen to God as He continues to give us direction. You don't have to limit yourself to the ways that you view trees to see that God is at work through everything around us. I hope that during this time of celebration and Holiday you will allow yourself to see God through these things, and perhaps even in a new way for who He is making you become. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
