THE MOST POWERFUL POSSESSION IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

Greetings in Jesus:

Among the most powerful possessions in any Christians, life is the simple and honest truth about how God has changed their life.  It is our response to that injection of honesty that changes our way of relating to others around us creating a sense of being real people instead of brainwashed crazies who believe and follow one man's teachings.

The main root meaning of our relationships in life is to touch what is real in another person's life by relating our experience to their own. Our very needs to have companionship with one another is built upon our ability to be real and have significance in another person's life.  Until we can see the honest and real change in our own life it is impossible for us to share a meaningful testimony with another person of what Christ has done to change us.  Before we can be an influence to another person we must first be convinced ourselves that what we perceive God is doing in our lives is real to us.  What God has asked us to do is to test His word to us to prove personally that what He has told us and what He is telling us every day is the honest truth about who we are.  It is obvious that in many cases we are not going to like what we see as we stare into the mirror of life.  Just because we have said that we trust God, and accept Jesus as our Savior does not mean that we have turned our heart over to Him.  You see that powerful part that Jesus instills within us when we accept Him is the ability to see the truth and the reality of what that truly means. We still have to put ourselves in a position where we must trust and experience that truth first hand in life. We have to buy into what God is telling us before we can be convincing to someone else. " You cannot give away something that you don't have yourself" is a term that is most appropriate whenever we deal with those around us.

How can we be real to a world that has gone insane?  By simply living out the directives of Christ Jesus in our lives every day  It becomes that daily and consistent attitude and lifestyle that is lived out as a witness to those around us that makes us real as people to others.  It is not the way we never make mistakes that they are looking for from us, but rather the ways we handle the mistakes we make every day of our lives that makes us real to others. Who we are to other people is based on how we handle the same imperfect life that everyone else has.  Instead of always having all of the answers we need to be able to show how to cope with the mistakes we make by relying on the power of God's Spirit from inside us.  That is never the easiest or the fastest way to do things, but it is one of the only ways of getting a message from our heart to someone else's heart and making it real to them.

Jesus constantly used the phrase " I can do nothing without the Spirit within me", and would like for us to hold on to that thought as we close our thoughts for this week.  We are not the one who needs to be perfect in life; we don't even have to be perfect in witness to others...just honest and real. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
