PRACTICAL SPIRITUAL DIRECTION FOR THE LAST DAYS
Greetings in Jesus:
It grows more apparent than ever before in history that we are living in the final days because of the number of those who would deny that this may be true been spoken about by Christ in Matthew 24: While there are many who would say it cannot be so because of all of the time that has gone between when Christ said it until today we still know it is the truth.
The problem isn't in it being true, but rather in people continuing to have faith in that truth today. It is how we can still hold that truth down to the very last day before He returns that matters. It is the endurance of our faith and belief in the promises that God has made to us that deepens our relationship with the Father. We cannot claim a promise from God that we do not believe in, and God will not honor a prayer from us when He has reason to doubt our love. If our word to God is proven to be untrue He has no reason to work His power through our lives. We as God's Children are set here in this world to be an example of what the relationship can be between mankind and God through our relationship with Him. If that relationship becomes unhonorable or false God will not use it as an example of His relationship with us, but will instead begin to expose the falsehood by uncovering the truth. We cannot mock God or play God for a fool the way some many do to one another; God sees to the very heart of every matter.
This problem has become rather glaring spiritually within the church today because we have never really taught the principals of Christ through the basic foundations of our faith. Sadly there are many who have become members of a church who have absolutely no clue as to what they believe about Jesus Christ as the Lord of their lives other than the few memorized verses they have been fed. There is no practical experience within most lives of what it means to really believe and see the miracles of God at work in life. This kind of thing will badly fail them in the days that are quickly approaching as they will be required to stand and give an account for their belief in Christ. The men and women of this age will not take our word that we love God without proof of that love in our life. Those who are truly seeking God will not take our word that there is peace and protection from the evil of this world without proof that we are real people of God's Kingdom. The tests for such things are also growing more difficult, and the push to find the truth by those who are so desperately seeking it become more demanding than they ever have in the past.
Are we then a people who will fall away from Christ before we finish the course? Or are we a people that will fall into the arms of Christ and finally quit trying to compete with God for leadership of our lives and allow His Spirit to work through us? We are not required to know all of the answers, but rather give an account for what we do know and what we have experienced in Jesus. The answers are already there for us all we have to do is to be honest with God. It is time to put these very practical base foundations of our faith into practice in this life so through the next few blogs we will be dealing with some of them. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
