CHANGED RELATIONSHIPS

Greetings in Jesus:

There can be no difference in any life until there are changes made within us.  It goes without needing to be said that any transformation begins from inside and grows outward, and not from the outside in.  I think that many people have gone about trying to live the Christian life from being influenced by outside circumstances in the same ways the world influences us.  That is through a constant bombardment of messages about how we should look, feel , and act in our society.  The truth is that in Christ The Kingdom of Heaven is not set up by outside influence, but by a very personal change that is made in us from the inside outward.

Most all of the basics of the foundations that Christ has set down for us is to be found within the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.  My favorite among them is in Matthew as he deals first with the sermon on the Mount of Olives that deals with God's good news to us and the first introduction we have to God's New Covenant with us.  Among the first things that we are told is that " We are the light of the world, and the salt of the earth"  We become the witnesses to what great things God is to our lives.  That should become the main focus for us as we live; to give real meaning to what Christ has meant to us.  This is the basic change in what we are asked to work on in the relationship we have with God because it takes away the continuous self-need that we have in any other relationship that we have in life.  The change shifts the focus from us to everyone around us in meeting the need to become one in Christ as He is one in the Father.  This also causes us to become one with one another, and it is that oneness that God is looking for in His people.  It is this change from self to servant of all that must start from the inside of us and grow outwradly.to give wittness to this world

In many ways we as the church in general have lost that desire to serve one another, and in doing so have brought the thoughts and ways of this worlds natural physical wisdom into the life of the established family of God.  This has changed us from folloowing a pattern of selflessness to one of putting self first even in our worship of God, and this must change.  When we begin to allow this kind of attitude to penetraite our churches we are also changing the relationship that our churches have with God as a whole.  Instead of oneness with God we become cut off from our own access to Him.  Jesus used the words " He who would be a king must first become a servant to all" which indicates that if we start to put self first we will forfet our ability to influence men to look at what they could also have in Christ Jesus.  When we are not willing to serve others before ourselves we have taken away the biggest difference between God's Kingdom and the realms of this world.

It becomes this single difference that allows God's Spirit to draw men unto Himself, and we become the key to showing others around us the love that God has for us.  If we can dare to love one another the way that this world loves self that difference alone can change the world.

Jesus showed us by example how that change works within the human heart, but we have to be willing to be that example of God being alive within us.  How we position our lives to receive God's promises changes our ability give wittness to this world that God is real for us, and true to us.  This tells all around us that we know where we are going when the world around us is falling apart and doubtful in it's ability to be victorious.  We know how the story ends because we have read the book to the very end...AMEN?  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
