THE COMMITMENT TO LOVE

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

Our lives are built upon various needs to be understood and accepted by those around us. Because of the need to have some significance in the lives of others, we must deal with quality of relationships around us.  In many different ways, we come back to the question of " What are we going to do with our relationship with Christ" as it relates to the way we accept and respond to all other of our relationships in life?

We already know how God feels about it from the words He has given us in scripture about His desire to relate to us through love, and for us to do the same with one another.  When it comes down to how we relate to this latest effort to globalize the world under one NEW WORLD ORDER it is hard to argue the point of taking away the incentive to always be the best or have the most should not be changed.  At the same time, it is human nature to carry envy and create some kind of strife as we jostle for a place in this world to feel important to others.  The question has to be asked, " When does all of this get resolved"?  If we are to change the direction of the ways the world does business with itself it becomes important that we take care of the problems that have plagued us from the old ways that have caused the need for change first.  Since it is the nature of mankind to war and fight over who has the most or is the best among all others it only makes sense to put that power into the hands of one whom we can trust to always be fair and trustworthy.  The insanity of doing the same things over and over and expecting a good change to happen becomes the definition of insanity, and so I am all for change.  I am also very aware that the deceit of this world will never change nor will the goals of evil within the core of what this NEW WORLD ORDER thing represents.  We cannot trust the enemy of good to be put in charge of deciding what is right and wrong with society any more than we can put the insane in charge of prescribing the care for the mentally ill.

There is a simple command toward loving God with our whole heart, and then loving others as we love ourselves that becomes the remedy for our problems, but in order to do that, we must put God at the center of our lives once again. We have all seen the results of the kindness and depths that God has taken His love for us, and we all know from the start that this combination of putting God first and then loving one another as we love ourselves always works until we get envious and selfish again; which is our nature physically. The bottom line always comes back to who we feel we can trust more. Do we trust a world which has really no loyalty to anyone but self, and which can only provide a temporary answer at best to what is really an eternal problem? Do we trust self to be able to make the right decisions for a future that we have no way of seeing?  Is it possible for us to trust in God who has never lied or cheated us?  Is it possible to trust someone who has always loved us first?  These are things well worth the time for us to consider in this hour of life.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
