THE VARIOUS POSITIONS OF BELIEVERS
Greetings in Jesus
This week my thoughts are running toward the various ways that we relate to Christ, and some of the misconceptions we may have about what God expects from our witness. Once again we can go through a great number of scriptures top support what is being said or we can get down to speaking the truth to your hearts. The facts are that we cannot have eternal life on our terms, it always has to be on God's terms. This is one of the first and hardest lessons we need to learn. In a relationship it is like the difference between being in love with someone and being in love with the idea of love. I think for many Christians we tend to be in love with the idea of being saved more so than the actual process of giving God the kind of glory within our lives that is needed for any real belief.
I want to get us to think first of all about that process that takes place within our lives in working out our salvation with God. When I say that I can almost feel some of you may be taking a half step back when we begin to realize that many of us have not really given anything to this process. When I speak of this I am talking about the process of how and what we build our relationship and life with on the foundations that God has laid down for us. We can say that there is no real one way of doing that and yet that is why God has made it so simple that the youngest and smallest among us can understand it if we get ourselves out of the way. For the most part it is the minds of men who fowls things up between us and God most of the time. When we begin to reason within ourselves how we think about the things we have going on in our lives we will always find the path of least resistance to get our own way. This is the rebellious nature of mankind because of self will, and it is the part of us that the enemy works hardest on to turn away from the simple truth that we are not the ones in charge!
God starts this process of building a relationship with us in such an easy and gentle way by a verbal and emotional commitment to Jesus Christ by saying YES to that free gift of love and salvation. Unfortunately that is where most church stop the process of helping that soul to find God. The rest is a process of plugging us into some rewritten program that is designed to keep us busy until we are strong enough to stand on our own. The problem with that kind of thing is that so many never get strong enough on that kind of feeding to stand on their own with God. This promotes a full church of babies in Christ who have the idea that spiritually they know all they need to know in order toteach the word. They teach what they know which ends up being just another program designed to plug someone into a certain way of thinking but which does not teach them how to stand and give witness and testimony to Christ in their lives. I want to take the time with this series of blogs this week to take you through the real process that is required for us to actually grow in Christ past the point where we are merely babies in Christ; and to the point of being able to teach the word of God personally.

Some of what I am going into may surprise some of you so I want to take my time with this as we wade through it. In the end this will effect all of us and so I want for you to take the time to pray for Spiritual discernment even to the point of meditation on what I will be dealing with this week. I am going to be sharing the process that God has taken my life through , and in that process hopefully you will be able to also see how a witness to what Christ has done within me has taken place. I want for you to be able to use what is said to help you realize and understand how that simple commitment to Christ changes over time and become ever more difficult to deal with in this world so hold on and fasten your seat belts! May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
