CAN I ASK YOU A FEW QUESTIONS?

Greetings in Jesus name:

People tend to try to run and hide when I ask questions, but if we are ever going to find it within ourselves to stand and give any kind of account for what and why we believe in Christ then it is important for us to be able to answer some of what this world will throw back at us when we proclain Jesus as our Savior.

Let me give you a few examples:  Romans 12:1 " I beseech you therefore bretheran that by the mericies of God that you would present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to unto God ; which your reasonable service".  My question to each of you is  ' WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE TO GOD?   This world will no doubt ask the question " What does it mean to give God reasonable service?"

Such things as  That could mean anything!  How can you give reasonable service to God when you have never seen Him?  How can you ever be a living sacrifice?  Any of these quuestions are fair game for the world to ask and yet how many of us have ever worked our an answer to those things for our own life in terms that would at least be a witness to others about our relationship with to begin to put your spiritual thinking caps on about Jesus?  I belive that is one of the purposes that God has given me this coming year to deal with, and so I want to prepare you to put your Spiritual thinking caps on regarding some of these things that will be asked  by this world as they seek peace and God without even realizing it.

Notice that this scripture says to " present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God" so this sacrifice is not a one time situation, but a living sacrifice.  It means that this sacrifice is "ON-GOING" and will last all of the rest of our lives.  The sacrifice must meet certain requirements in that it must be presented as Holy, and as acceptable to God.  That means to me that our sacrifice must not only be made moment to moment in life but must also meet the requirements of citizenship in God's Kingdom.  At first glance I would say that is a pretty stiff regulation from God's Spirit until I start to hear what Jesus told the leaders of the Synangogues about worshiping God not in the letter of the law, but in the Spirit of the law.  While the letter of the law may be manipulated by men, the Spirit of the law must come from our hearts intent to love and serve God.

Simply put when we begin to really look at this living sacrifice it must include  not just dying to our old habits, but also living our life for the glory of God, and according to what pleases Him everyday of the rest of our lives.  That means that if we are serious about our relationship with Christ we will take personal action to see that what we do and say fits into those guidelines.  Wjat then is your reasonable service to your Father in Heaven?  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
