WAKING UP TO OUR PURPOSE IN CHRIST
There is no place more satisfying than to feel that your life has purpose, and that you are filling in the spot that God has for you in this life. I have personally been used for several different things during my time here, and I have found that none of them have been given to me to be used for glory or riches in this world; but I do believe each phase of my life has brought me closer to understanding that I have personally had a purpose in touching someones life.
The strange thing is that even in the most unworthy state of my physical life I may have been in God has found a way to use me to turn someone else to Him. That thought blows my mind at times because I realize that when God has placed a purpose for your life to reach people who would otherwise never have been reached I fall apart from the inside out. God can and will use a life that is rebellious and sinful to bring about others to seek Him, and we don't even have to be aware that we are being used when it happens. We may think that most of those who were used in scripture were very straight laced and religious people, but when I look closely at them I begin to see real people with real lives who lived and who made great errors at times in this life; but also who had their heart set aside for a purpose in Christ.
We are given a picture through most who teach us in our churches of a freedom from being effected by the soup bowl of sin that we are forced to live in on a daily basis, but when I look at the reality of what we are involved in I can see all of us wading at least knee deep in sin all of the time. It is impossible for us not to when we are surrounded by it as we are. We are all touched and tempted by the things in this life that surround us so we are bound to fail at times so I don't believe that sin is the issue here. I believe that allowing our hearts to be turned away from God becomes the issue. I can see each one of those who have come to Christ as having been taken out of the soup bowl of sin, and coated with the protection of the Holy Spirit, but then put back into the same soup bowl in the same sinful situation to affect the surroundings they are in. Quite frankly unless we band together and hold to one another for comfort and strength we cannot survive in that situation, and that is why we should not forsake the assembly of ourselves together. The more unified we can be the stronger we can be in Christ. It becomes a process of waking up to see what is really going on here as God looks at the situation. We can see why He is only interested in reclaiming His own from the soup bowl of sin that we live in. He looks on the creation of the world that we have around us as being an instant fix for us, but the fact of the matter is that we have been created as unique and a one of a kind creation that He has done all that He can to save.

It is this creation that cannot be duplicated; it is you as a creation that is a one of a kind, and which God has fought to save as His child. The reason you are so important to Him is that you are a creation that cannot be duplicated throughout all eternity! It is so hard for us to wrap our minds around that because we are pushed and pulled from every direction with regard to what we think and believe is true. It is time to wake up to what is really going on as a unique creation in the image of God and what the true impact is for your life, and future. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
