DEFILING A MAN

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

It isn't as hard as one might think to defile a man or a woman in this life.  I found out the hard way when I was left alone in this world without any real commitment to Christ other than having my own thoughts about how I personally wanted to serve God that I was very easily led astray from the ideals that I thought I held about God.  I did not even realize that I was holding on to the things that I thought I could control and have as a part of this life instead of caring enough about God to really seek after Him.  It was not until I began to allow the things of God's word to soak into me from
Mark 7: 13-23  that I could see what I was really doing to defile myself according to the perspective I held of my relationship with God.

" Making the word of God no effect through your tradition, which you have delivered and many other things that you do. And when he had called the people to him, he said unto them; Listen to me every one of you, and understand;  Ther is nothing from outside of a man that can enter into him and defile him, but it is the things that come out of a man that defiles him.  If a man has ears to hear this then let him hear it.  And when He was entering the house from the people  His disciples asked Him concerning the parable. And Jesus said unto them: Are you without understanding also?  Do you not perceive that whatsoever things from without cannot come in to defile a man?  Because it enters not into his heart but into his belly and grows out into drought just like all other meats.  It is that which comes out of a man that defiles him. It is what comes from a man's heart that produces evil thoughts, adulteries, fornicators, and murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye blasphemy, pride, foolishness.  All of these things come from within the heart to defile a man."

Every time we begin to look at others around us and try to compare our lives with them we can find fault in them and an excuse for why we are not to be held accountable.  Our attitudes for even why we seek after God should change because we are simply and first of all filled with deceit as we live among the lies and sin of this world.  The real corruption comes from within a heart that is allowed to wander without direction or purpose in this life.
I need to ask you a simple question today; do you find that you are having a hard time in realizing your purpose in Christ today?  If you do I want you to understand it is because the enemy is working overtime in trying to sow doubt within you about God's love for you, and about your importance to those whom God has placed around you.  All of what can destroy us is already built within us just trying to break free, but we each one has the power as well to subdue this world if we have invited Christ's Spirit to dwell within us.  May your richly bless God through your life in Him.
