GOD LEADS AND WE FOLLOW

For a great deal of people today the concept of inclusion is a one way street; on one hand we want to be completely inclusive when it comes to our acceptance of those who come into the church fellowship, and completely exclusive when it comes to sharing the ministry that God has asked us to be a part of.

What I mean by saying that is that we want to have our personal name and brand mark on whatever God wants for us to do as though we are the only ones who have been called into that service.  While when we think about that perspective,  we can see clearly that is not the case we still try so desperately to compete with those around us who show interest in the same kind of things; but the question is WHY?

There seems to be a part of our human nature that is prone to competition , and then the protection of anything that we have perceived to be created between ourselves and God.  The enemy uses these natural tendencies to keep us at odds with one another through a territorial design to protect what is ours, and yet we have yet to learn that God's view of what our ministry is should include all who have been called to share such a theme as we have been given in this life.  We are so much stronger together than we are when separated from one another and the enemy knows that all too well.  I can tell you without reservation that this is one of the biggest problems the Christian deals with today.  It is centered around a desire to control and own something that is not ours to oown or control.  It is beehind the teaching of Christ which tells us "If we desire to be leaders among men then we must first become servants among all men "  The attitude that we carry with us must be transformed from that of self importance to that of the message being more important in the same way it was for Jesus.

In particular this means that we must take a step to the side when it  comes to people , places and things that God would use to get a job done.  We must begin to find a way to allow Christ to be the head of each thing that we are called to do.  We must begin to allow Him to lead both us and others to the same place to co-labor together in His Spirit and strengthen one another .Jesus gave us the concept of being one with Him and being as one body in His Spirit as His bride the church.  As yet we have not achieved that goal that Jesus has set to love God with all of our heart, mind, and soul; and then to love one another as we love ourselves.  If we could achieve these two things we could be more powerful than any force of evil around us.

My friends we may look sick , old and defenseless on the outside, but if wedare to tear down these walls that have been built by the minds of men that are around us and between us there is nothing in this world that can stop the power of Christ that lives within us.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
