ROMANS 1: God's wrath against mankind
Greetings in Jesus:
There is no easy way to say this... When Christ comes the second time He is not coming to find a way to save anyone; He is coming as a Judge upon mankind. Romans 1:18-23 speaks of the fact that God continues to be revealed to us in spite of the wickedness and ungodliness of men who suppress the truth in every way they can.
There is a need for a mindset change in the Christian approach to the world around us that begins to show Christ through an example of the ways we treat and react to one another alone verses trying to win over the hearts and minds of men in the world. I really think that all this time we have been going about our witness of God in our lives in much the wrong way. The word tells us not to throw our values away at a world who will dirty them and turn to devour us, but that is much the way we have chosen to show God's love.
In truth I believe it is time to discontinue our seeking of the approval of this world in any way, and begin to attach our value and worth of this world more to one another and to the Kingdom of Heaven which we are a part of. To the world around us God's qualities are invisible, but His divine nature is clearly seen by those of us who understand who, what, and why God has done what He has. We are the product of His love to mankind, and we should be loving one another as He has loved us...not loving the world as He has loved us.
This world does not and never will understand the love of God because this world is lost. We are the only product from this world that God has redeemed and sees as worthy for salvation, and that is because we are a part of Jesus Christ alone. The world around us needs to see us at work loving one another in the same way that we say God has loved us...they need to see an example in the short time that we have left in this world of what true love looks like. Since we cannot effectively love the world with Christ's love we must love one another as completely as we can. It is by example then that we teach love to this world. The world thinks they have known God, but they have never glorified God or given Him thanks for all that He has already given them because their minds are all muddled and filled with self. Their hearts are some of the darkest places that we can imagine.
The world around us claims to have wisdom, and yet every day we can see the foolishness they each one follow through the lies and slight cunning of men. While they speak with one tongue they intend something far different. Only those of us who are genuine in our hearts toward the Plan of Salvation given us through Jesus Christ can know what it means to have His living Spirit within us. We can and should love each other with that deep love to show the world how to find God. Give that love away to your brother and sister in Christ, and don't waste it on this world any longer...that is our witness and purpose ...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
