I HAVE NOTICED
Greetings in Jesus:
I have noticed lately that it is much more difficult for me to get a message out to you the church than it was just a few months ago...it seems like the articles that come up that could aid me in making an educated decision on things are trying to be blocked by tons of commercial advertising that interrupts my train of thought, and the general demeanor of the world seems to be straining toward what I know is false truth.
All of this to me simply points to a very quick return of Jesus as judge of this world. I hear small rumblings of something coming in September or October that is world ending events, but then I have heard things like that for the last several years now. My heart tells me that time is short, and my spirit tells me that we need to cling to Christ more so now than at any time in our life. It seems to me like all of our efforts in Christ have lead to not much progress in an evangelistic way, but I don't know that we should be concentrating on evangelism when we all need to simply occupy until He comes.
I am concentrating on teaching the men in the bible study about personal growth in Christ, and what it means to continue to get closer to God each and every day. In many ways this is not earth shattering news because I tend to always concentrate on that concept, but this Thursday Night we will be dealing with a direct contact made by each one there with Christ because we are going to pray together the prayer of salvation in case we have someone who has not done so. I have seen the desperate need to do so for these men who are coming. Many of these people are in the same boat as so many who attend a church on any given Sunday morning...they simply have not taken that next step with God in their lives to allow Him to be the King of Kings.
Do you know someone who is in that category of believer? Someone whom you just feel has not yet fully committed themselves to Christ because of what goes on in their lives? If you do then it is time to really work on getting together with them and praying that prayer that will unlock their heart and mind to Christ. Dear ones the time is so short and that life is so dear that we need to concentrate on those who are standing the closest to us, and who we know in our hearts still need God. My friends for most of you I don't have to tell you the signs and the things that are going on right now that indicate what I am saying to be true...I know that we may not even make it to the end of this year as a Nation or as a world before the tribulation is upon us. Many Christians have simply had their heads in the sand for a long time now over this subject; preferring not to think or talk about it. Personally I think it is a dumb way to live, but that's just me I guess. I pray that you will consider what I say...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
