IT IS TIME WE MADE THINGS SIMPLE

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

The message of God's word is very simple, and we have the choice t No matter what we claim or say to the people around uso either listen to and obey what God has established as truth, or we can ignore that truth and we will pay the consequences for that disobedience.

In the book of Romans the word tells us very clearly that everyone has sinned Romans 3:23.  There is a penalty for sin which is death  Romans 6:23, and that Jesus died to take away that penalty Romans 5:8.  According to God's word that is the basic truth of the message that Jesus delivered in coming to us in human form, and in establishing the New Covenant from the Father to us as His creation.  The part that God added to this is that we cannot receive that salvation unless we go through Jesus Christ.

That basic fact has been a difficult thing for most people from the beginning of the acceptance of the Jews to the belief of all of us today.  It feels like that fight has been strengthened by the world around us over the years because of it's truth.  I have never known anyone spend so much time protesting something to be false for so long as the way the world has protested the need for us to believe that Jesus is the Christ; the Son of the living God...and then accept the gift of salvation through Him.  Romans 10:8-10 seals this entire concept that God has loved us so much that He has sent His Son to die for us, but to be forgiven for our sins we must believe and confess that Jesus is Lord of our lives, and that our Salvation comes directly through Him.

There are many of us who have started out with that belief and with that confession, but who have taken a step back from the actual life of living out Jesus as Lord of our lives.  Just like many of those who at first wanted to believe in Jesus as the Messiah we have followed along behind Him.  We have cheered Him on as we have seen the miracles that have been done in His name.  We have sang His praises and have said wonderful things about Jesus, but in the final analysis I cannot help but wonder how many of us really have known Him in a personal relationship?  The time has come that we began to speak of these simple and yet very important matters of our hearts inner thoughts on who Christ really is to us. No matter what we may claim or say to people around us we need to begin to deal with that which we harbor within our intent of heart when we react and deal with life around us.

It becomes that topic that we spend our time on this week...I pray that you will join me in the thoughts that God's Spirit places before us. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
