LIVING LIKE A SINNER/TALKING LIKE A SAINT

So much of our lives are based upon what we show other people, and yet so few of us show the truth about who we really are.  Roman 8:5-8 speaks of living in the Spirit of God by first recognizing that we live in a sinful nature, and for the most part; unless we take some action to reverse  that trend we will also think and reason in a sinful nature.

When we really think about that it is hard for us not to see that for most of us as we live in this world and respond to this world it is very easy for us to also let our minds get set in a sinful nature.  Basically if we do go there within our minds we cannot please God no matter what we may try to do for Him.  I have found many times that I had to stop trying t do something that was set for God when I had a mindset that was of this world.

For a great many people we are finding that it is their mind set that prevents them from really having any kind of victory in Christ because they can't let go of this world enough to experience the joy of the Kingdom.

The only answer to that is for us as individuals to spend a greater amount of time with God in simple meditation.  Instead of doing all of the talking we need to take the time to listen to God speak to us.  I found it quite hard to sit for any length of time and just wait on God...in fact when I first started trying to meditate for me to sit for more than a minute at a time and meditate of Christ was more than I could do.  I have found that for anyone in our society it is very difficult to sit still and quiet for very long, but in those quiet moments alone with God we will always find God's voice if we will listen.

The real message here is in giving God the control back that we steal away from Him almost every day of our lives.  Every one needs time to allow God to speak clearly to them in this age because there is so much thrown at the Christian today that unless we are grounded in Christ we can be defeated to the point of just giving up. Unfortunately I have seen that happen as well.  It becomes those things that allow the most in our lives that will be the things that we hold to and believe in.  God has promised us that He will never leave us or forsake us, and we need to test that out for our lives to make sure it is true for us...I know that His words are true because I have tested them for my life and have found that He is always true to His word.  I want so much for you to see that same promise is true for you as well...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
